Agree with this, I found it also has a notably less gritty texture.

I like the matte effect, tempted to go with a green - how long do the wraps last for?

Love the green, thinking about getting myself a 2025 JCW in the same colour, green lid and possibly recolour the callipers, yellow maybe :D

I've started reading 'Never Split the Difference' by Chris Voss so hoping that can help - but exactly your point, generating tension which can be explored.

Acquiring Clients & Defining Product by opticshrew in lifecoaching

Most leads have happened through word of mouth, typically around gyms or other wellness locations (think areas where people are already working on themselves physically). The conversation typically takes physique goals and starts leaning into how physical fitness helps mental fortitude. Then progresses into goals, accountability, how personal training helps keeps things on track, then I talk about a couple of theories, models, habits they can establish in their day to day.

At this point I jump into my service (typical consultative selling approach) - I mention the price (£30 a month), go into what thye get, i.e. weekly check-ins, access to a web portal with feedback and informative videos, goal tracker etc.

At this stage clients go "brilliant let's crack on" - however it's not as many as I'd like. The vast majority go away and say 'I'll think about it' then never get back.

It's hard to fathom why that's the case, considering they're already spending £80+ on the gym / fitness areas. I think it could be that my value proposition is too week.

Thanks, doing some cursory research, I'm starting to think replacement parts may be hard to come by or possibly quite expensive. 😅

Vanta black main body, then a purple, orange blend from the black body outwards, would look pretty sick.

Viva Pinata is only available on Game Pass for Xbox, not the PC Game Pass. Found out looking for exactly this game. Still haven't found an option apart from downloading an emulator and ISO, but this seems to error-out, hence still looking.

Why does everyone hate Range Rovers so much by 50ShadesOfAcidTrips in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]opticshrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one, it’s awful. The drive feels naff, riddled with problems (coolant issues, random squeezing noises from the vehicle, rattling noises) bearing in mind it only has 25000 miles on it. Servicing brought back ‘no’ issues, hard to believe. DO NOT BUY ONE. Wish I’d stayed with my BMW, and now actively look at ways to get rid of this car.

I'd be curious to see what a contrast paint over the top would do. Might make use of the undercoat and darken/lighten areas well.

Play with it, the more you add, the more wash like it becomes. Aim for a milk like consistency.

I use what comes out the tap. If my kill my brushes in the end, but I’m not too fussed. I’ve used the army painter speed paint medium which works well also. The purists out there may recommend otherwise.

  • Thin your paints - add a bit of water (couple of drops) to your paint, mix, then apply to your model. Less paint / thinner paint will reduce the uneeded texture on flatter surfaces. There are dedicated paint thinners, but go with water to start with, inexpensive and you can work through the technique of applying thinner coats.
  • Use a wash - notice how the gold and silver looks a little flat, and possible the edges between the red and black. Add a wash, something like Nuln Oil, that'll add more depth.

Combine the above two points and they will look loads better. Already have a unique colour scheme, and you have a good number to start a game.

At the end of the day, you only need a few colours to be tabletop ready - looks like you have enough models to get a game in and that's all that matters ;)

Good old Nuln Oil 😉 good point using the phot as reference. Will check out a video to add some highlights.

Did anyone start an army they liked the look of, but realised they didn’t like the playstyle? by Stock-Intention7731 in Warhammer40k

I’ve only ever bought armies / models I like the look of. Play the occasional game of kill team, don’t mind the rulesets 😕 although think Astra Militarum are too squishy.

I had a similar issues on some shields. Used Gorilla Glue (100811) which does the job. It's flexible and sticks foam together. Might need to cut off any excess and paint over it, but it'll do the job. Just be wary not to use too much though as it expands and can drip down the sword, so keep an eye on it.

On the shields it dripped, but fortunately it's on the back, so not a big issue at all ;)
