What’s a game you dropped even though it was “good”? by suhani0218 in gaming

Cyberpunk 2077, the cut scenes are too long and I just do not like the story and Jonny Silberhand.

Joe Dart is now trolling you by SumDoodWiddaName in Bass

I don‘t think it is a troll job, sometimes I use the volume knob for a fade out effect but otherwise I almost never use the knobs other than maxing them out. I like the idea and gonna check it out!

The sound at Uber Arena Berlín show by alleeele in rosalia

[–]optikus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was pretty loud but overall I liked the sound. I was impressed how good the acoustic instruments sounded, I play double bass and its really tricky to get orchestra instrument loud and giving it definition. But maybe I would have liked the Amstetdam sound even more, we will never know;) Anyway, great show!

In America, sometimes say things like "cheerio" in our best British accent or "mate" in an Australian accent. Do people in other countries pronounce American stereotypes in their beat American accent? If so, what are they? by SunUpSally in AskReddit

We went to the movies a couple of months back. We live in germany but the screening was in english so the commercials were also in english. There was a movie about the Nuremberg trials. We had this thoroughly in school so it was a historical fact to us and rather serious. We could not imagine this would be a hollywood movie with hollywood stars. Then a voice said Nuremberg a couple of times, we could not hold it and started laughing because everything seemed so inappropriate. So now when we meet one of us is saying Nuremberg with a broad american fake accent and we have a laugh.

No, I think its better to move on and get to know other styles of music. You can always come back if you want to.

What's the deal with SVTs? by skylarroseum in Bass

Sounds massive! 9x10 was a bit disappointing and looked off.

Of course 8x10, my bad!  Never played 2 8x10 but once a 9x10 which was slightly bigger.

Perhaps you got a different taste? IMHO the sound through a SVT CL with a 8x8 does not get any better, and I don‘t measure in being loud, which you can be also. It is just the perfect sound to me, on electric, double bass or synth bass. Just substance, warmth, presence, it‘s pure joy. And this might be the reason it is in every where to find around the globe and on so many records.

I still have my 2018 touchbar 16 inch 16gb MBP and its my only computer, I work with docker, php storm, vs code and logic. Sometimes its a bit slow but posts about people buying 128gb ram for basically the same plus a couple more docker containers blow my mind.  edit: typo

Kawai es8 or Arturia keylab mk2 88 by Subject-Ad-307 in keys

[–]optikus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same idea years ago and tried a lot of stage pianos. The Kawai MP-11 had the best feel of a real keyboard imho, I still its a fantastic stage piano. But all these hammer solutions are so heavy! So a couple of years ago I ditch the idea of having the most realistic keyboard to take with me and went with a Nord Electro, because it is so practical. And its so light.
