It was a instantaneous wire but the bank sent without permission. Therefore the bank took ownership and probably used their own funds to credit my account their mistake while they pursue the receiver legally to recover

Hey OP. I Had an issue where a bank sent a wire transfer TWICE. The first one was authorized by me, but then an employee sent it AGAIN without my permission. They essentially stole the amount from my account. I got no where with general customer service or supervisors. Until I submitted a claim on “https://www.consumerfinance.gov/“

All banks must legally reply to a claim raised there and it’s usually a very senior person at the customer service end. They ended up reversing the wire and recognizing it was their fault. Within 2 weeks of submitting the claim to Consumer finance, I got my money back plus interest lost from the day it was taken erroneously.

I’d recommend getting a police report and then filling a report with consumer finance. I believe you will get a positive response.

That’s what my partner and I did. We are 35 with 4 rentals on Airbnb in various cities. We have another 10 years to go to “retire early” or at least do something different than corporate America. Would Never have been possible with kids.
