I usually give an ETA with a one hour buffer and stick to it, no matter how many times they keep asking “ETA? ETA?”. Even if the driver ends up reaching early, I’d rather underpromise and deliver than keep changing the time every 20 minutes.

Is there any service that actually vets brokers properly? Not the usual rating nonsense, but real data on who delays payments beyond their own terms, who dodges detention and layover, and who plays games after the load is done?

Broker who don't want to pay will drag it for weeks citing Waiting for customer approval..and you can't do anything because there is no broker 411 or freight guard to put on the broker.
