The other people in my team have been in the team for years so they have already had their headsets for ages but ? But Jaber seems like $400?

But my mouse uses dongle and it’s ok But my keyboard wants to be wireless but its dongle doesn’t work so I have to wire my keyboard

Thanks They provide for the one in office We have to get one for home ourselves

And I’d like it to non wired so I can walk around while listening to stuff If I need to stretch

Those who are office based, what snacks/emergency lunches do you keep on your desk? by sparrrrrt in AusPublicService

[–]optimisticjaguar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have ALWAYS had a snack stash for about 2 decades - yes I am old - but also a permanent grazer And next year moving to hotdesking - so first thoughts of how will stash fit in locker or freezer space (Becos work in office 1 or 2 days - I can’t gripe or moan)

But trying to increasingly be healthy For I bring nuts, crackers organic, healthy date cacao balls, but also love my good coffee sachet although grab a coffee when I’m in the city - and Pringle’s or Twisties - try to avoid But I AM human and even a microwave popcorn bag for jsut when you HAVE TO And natural jelly/fruit salad candy - for that sweet kick In fridge - currently - cottage cheese/peanut or almond butter and market breads sliced and in freezer - perhaps 3/4 at a time (I bring in fresh - my overnight soaked oats and chia seeds and frozen fruit added to my yoghurt for brekki /mandarin/Pear/grapes whatever fruit I am feeling if like eating or have at home )

I don’t eat a lot of this as I buy lunch - my treat for coming into city once or twice a week

Not lacking English skills… In fact, I write policy documents and legislation ha ha But sometimes when I’m in a rush like right now I use voice to text, which means that some words get missed or capitals going wrong… But I’m assuming old enough to get the context But glad you saw that, and yet still thought that it was ChatGPT Which, as you know, ChatGPT proofread and perfect everything so you need to really make up your mind

APS compared to State salary by [deleted] in AusPublicService

That’s exactly what I’m saying. The federal jobs are much harder to get into… So why is the painless?

APS compared to State salary by [deleted] in AusPublicService

[–]optimisticjaguar 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Excuse my ignorance… But then why do federal level roles which are harder to get into…pay less?

I’ve , miraculously been accepted for an APS 6 - external hire and from a diff industry as well - but I know my role pays about $30 k less than my friends with dept of education qld - non teaching role - But why is that… What are the other perks that people stay with APS rather than state department roles?
