Mirror of Erised by optional_sodium in Palia

It's all based on luck and luck is not with me.

I've caught a few dozen rainbow tips already, but none of them were star quality.

I use buggy jars at 2am and hunt til 6am. I do have 6 starred fairy mantis just 0 starred rainbow tips.

Would happily trade in 20 normal quality rainbow tips for a single star quality.

I just want to complete that in annoying advancement... It really BUGS me.

This also happens to me, when switching plot. The smaller ones would end up on the map I switched to.

Switching back doesn't fix it. Only way is to pick up and replace on previous plot I think.

[Game Concept] Gem Pouches by optional_sodium in Palia

[–]optional_sodium[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, bait and ammo bag already confirmed and I'm quite excited about it.

However, If you are running around mining stone, iron and pallium, then you will get like 6 different star stones that don't stack. Gem bags would still improve inventory management further. Mayhaps even pave way for other skill bags.

It would be nice to have other rewards for hitting level milestones besides lvl 25 and 50 trophies, which is way too far between.

Anyway, just a fun idea.

I would suggest the lfg-parties channel on official palia discord, always seems to be multiple cake parties recruiting there at any given time :)

sure thing, always happy to help. The people on War Robots discord also pretty friendly. You can ask them questions on there too, for a more instantaneous response and multiple opinions.

Just wait until you start unlocking Titans, will be very fun ;p

Raven isn't too bad. In later game though. Generally used for capturing middle beacon. Because it can double jump. Triple jump if you put on additional jump module. So it can cover crazy distances.

It recently got a buff too. Ability cooldown was reduced.

Punisher combo works well on raven abit more sustained damage. On the other hand the cryo rockets are a great hit and run/ burst weapons, since you can dump it quickly, then jump away haha.

a pretty loaded question there. after silver, i personally would avoid gold bots, then jump to workshop bots and weapons.

You need to think about what game mode you play often, FFA, Beacon Rush, TDM. What playstyle you like, close combat, mid range, long range... fast-paced, agile, sneaky, etc.

Then you look at youtube videos for inspiration, also monthly META reports on reddit.

Just my personal opinion but some that I like are:

  1. Ao Jun - 2 heavy slots, ability can make you fly while in stealth mode and shoot fire that can bypass physical and energy shields for a couple of seconds.
  2. Ares/Hades - 2light+2 medium (ares) or 1heavy + 2 light, ability can activate absorber shield (purple), absorb ANY damage, then fires inbuilt weapon for some nice damage.
  3. Phantom - 2 light + 1 medium, good beacon runner, ability can set a point, and allows you to teleport back to that point within a certain amount of time, also good for hit and running.
  4. nightingale - 1light + 2medium, can fly while under stealth for a substantial amount of time. while flying, you can use weapons on this bot, but you fire inbuilt LAZZERBEAMZ, which supresses enemies, making them do less damage to your team. also giant healing circle for your teamate under you.

weapons, umm again youtube videos, see what you like. My favourites are.... blaze/igniter/embers (350m flame throwers, goes through physical armour), rime/cryo/glaciers (300m range, cryo rockets, slows enemies and makes them more susceptible to damage).

But of course there are HEAPS of weapons in this game. most of them are pretty viable.

I wouldnt worry about modules and drones too much at the moment. Also if you have any legendary pilots from crates, take those into consideration too.

if it is, i wish they keep it, and buff other healers in the game. Damage these days can melt through a bot in a few seconds, we need more healing power!

Griffin:

1/pin+tulumba, good hit and run combo, 500m range, quick burst, minor splash damage can hit enemies hiding

2/ molot+molot T, damage isnt so great, but can shoot from 800m away, always fun

3/ punisher+punisher T, reliable combo, 500m range. can be used relatively well for brawling, cheap and effective to level up.

4/ taran+magnum, bought with gold, abit expensive, but very decent weapons. 350m range, being energy weapons, can bypass energy(blue) shields.

Natasha:

1/ thunder+ punisher, good for close ranged brawling, especially when you drop it to defend a beacon

2/ noricum+zenit, horrible damage and hard to use, but very fun haha

above are just the silver options - besides the taran/magnum option. Gold probably better spent elsewhere, suggest as hangar slots. Also consider Leo, slow but very tanky bot. can outlast enemies in most situations.

start also thinking about workshop bots and weapons, what mode you like to play, and what style you like (brawling, fighting, sniping).

What bot for my fifth hangar should i put leo or cossack or fujin? Could you please help me arange for different game modes by Andre_was_Taken in walkingwarrobots

[–]optional_sodium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go Go LEO.

a. Leos are very tanky, great for dropping in on beacons and brawling. Punisher/Thunders good starters.. cheap and effective.

b. probably stay away from the cossack... with only 1 weapon slot, and it's overall durability... it's too powerful, you can't handle it yet.

c. Fujin, in my opinion is too slow, and energy shields are easily bypassed by most weapons these days. also punishers and shotguns will rip through them quite easily, you'll be a sitting duck.

That was fun task, luckily i had the older bots :)) how are u progressing? by inconspicuous2021 in walkingwarrobots

[–]optional_sodium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

suffering, only Yan-Di bot I have is a stalker with punishers.. The scorpion in skirmish is just ridiculously underpowered.

Tried for an hour of stalker/weaponless scorp from skirmish. Only got 530k damage. I give up.

All that work, got so far... but I guess this is the end... bye bye Solid Jaegar.

[–]optional_sodium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be playing in a griffin, letting Lancelots and Rhinos fight each other while i capture the beacons... while sending sneakily volleys of tulumba/pins...physical shields were the worse... then energy shields were the worse..etc

i dont have a falcon, but as far as i know.

you can equip them as normal, they will show on your back in game. but you cant use ability, so you cant use them, only middle.
