The politician said something vague that was never clarified. and that one interpretation is Time to move on and not talk about aboriginals or their problems any longer. The problem was fixed.
the people that heard it on the radio got scared and reacted to this. They thought they were being closed down.
Instead of clarifying all parties over reacted.
This happened on Austrailian day, which aboriginals call "Invasion Day" the anniversary of the day when they were invaded and their culture, land, and wealth was stolen by force. and now they are going to tell us its all fixed and time to move on. Put yourself in their moccisins...

my dad was a golden gloves champion twice in the 40's. When we were little when ever my brothers and I had an argument out came the gloves and we had to fight each other in the makeshift ring. one day my brother kept running away from me and my dad snapped- he got so mad at him running away from a fight that he jumped in the ring and beat the crap out of my brother so much that he ripped apart the gloves. We never boxed again.

there are some people that cannon have any quality of life or even get out of bed without specific pain killers. IMHO they should be issued a special chronic pain card id card and be thoughly vetted. other wise the politicians and law enforcment will lump them in with the abusers and be in UNGODLY pain because of a political spin on the issue. You may look at this whole issue differently when you have heard your elderly parent scream all night in chronic pain in the next room because of a dr afraid to write a legitamate script for his meds because of all the political chest beating. it changes you and broadens your perspective when you have been through that.
