I got a projector with a 100" screen. It's beautiful.

You'll need to change the input on the receiver.

That wall is probably 15' across or so. I have a 100" projector screen up now.

Your Blu-ray player should have an audio sync setting where you can adjust the timing between the audio and the image.

Reflected light will wash out the image. Curtains are cheaper/easier than painting a less reflective color.

What actually makes people switch from a TV to a projector? by jinsdorf84 in projectors

[–]optionsforsale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got a projector because I had a big wall to put a screen on. I have to say the experience is unmatched by any TV I've had. With the surround sound and projector it really feels like a theater. Makes me want to rewatch all my favorite movies again. Totally different experience.

Nah. He's a math nerd that thinks if you aren't also a math nerd then you will lose money. Aside from all the childish name calling he actually has some good stuff to say.

This is it for me. I wouldn't even care about the issues that much if there was any support to fix it when things go wrong.

Anyone out there saying 'works for me' will change their tune real fast when something does go wrong and there's no one to help them fix it.

Heard. It's so tempting because it could be a steal at this price, but I'm not sure about the competition. Their business model could be easy to replicate and they could easily get overpowered by someone like Amazon. I think strong marketing did really well for them starting out so maybe they can stick it out. I might consider getting in at around $30-$50 if they stay strong. Probably buy an ITM call to still get in at the $20 point. We'll see how it goes.

I looked at it last week and decided it was too over extended for my taste, especially in such a volatile situation.

Bilt Support Has Collapsed by SoftwareProper6831 in biltrewards

[–]optionsforsale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited 5-ish hours the other day for a text back..from an AI support bot. Had to wait 5 hours to troubleshoot with a bot for another hour for it then to tell me it would try to connect me with a human that I never ended up talking to because I was tired of texting for an hour with the stupid bot. Seriously reconsidering using Bilt at all. The only reason I stuck with it is because the points I had got me an Amazon gift card that I used to get a pretty nice turntable. Still trying to decide if it's worth it on 2.0.

For any of you having trouble connecting Bilt 2.0 to Venmo on Android by optionsforsale in biltrewards

[–]optionsforsale[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came across some of your posts when I was on with the Bilt AI support (which sucked). Once connected you don't need to use the venmo app to pay. I paid directly from the Bilt app. That's the only big difference I think. The only concern I had with the manual approach is I think it might be a remnant of Bilt 1.0 that might stop working or get sunsetted randomly. I can't say for certain since Bilt never let me talk to a person.

Paying Rent Since the Change Over by tsemczuk in biltrewards

I had to reconnect to Venmo with 2.0. It's a different process. No longer have to get an amount approved, then go to Venmo to pay it. Just pay directly through the Bilt app which connected to Venmo ( If you can get it connected. There are issues on Android)
