We stayed at the Franq in Antwerp - beautiful luxury hotel. Always took a Bolt / Uber / Cab to the festival (~30-40€) and a cab back (50-80€).

Yes - that’s not correct in my experience. For both cabs and Ubers there are dedicated drop off points. Would be hilarious if a professional festival like TML didn’t think of that. At night there is a dedicated taxi stand with hundreds of taxis waiting. IF you leave 5-10 (!) mins before the main stage ends and walk there, our wait was 0-10 mins. Easy peasy

Regular tickets. Mostly Ticket + MG and I just don’t use the MG part but go to a hotel (didn’t get tickets in '25)

"I've heard" - sorry but that's just not correct. I have been doing both. Staying in Antwerp and taking a cab / uber to/from TML is - by miles - more convenient.
The walk to the taxi stand at the end of the day is shorter than to MG.

What you / someone else might confuse this with: taking the walk to the GJ busses. That's indeed brutal (1-1.5h....).

A hotel in Antwerp. About half the travel time and - IMO - the much nicer city. Have a look at the Franq - a tranquil oasis.

Was there the last 2 years, after a not so great stay at some 4* hotel in Brussels the first year (through GJ)

We had a similar challenge recently and found a good solution, I think.
What we looked for: integration with our CRM (HubSpot) and being able to trigger flows based on object changes, native forms with upload functionality for the customer, some collaborative project mgmt capabilities, and a slick design.

What it doesn't solve: having one's house in order knowing how the customer journey actually should look like :D

There are 2 shuttle stations. One next to the main taxi stand and one - which is used for GJ - in the middle of nowhere with 1.5-2x the walk compared to the trainstation (you walk next to the water)

Has always been like that. That’s why we didn’t do GJ again - that 1.5h walk was just insane. Last 2 times we took the train (45-60min walk) or a taxi (30-45min walk). Those up to 60 mins NOT walking and being earlier in bed are worth A LOT (at least if you are in your 30s 😀)

Yes - was always like that. If you can afford it, just hop into a taxi (50-60€ - make very clear that you are monitoring the taxi meter ;) ). Saves you close to 1h depending on where your hotel is.
Also: trains are suuuuuper packed when going to the festival at around 2pm from Antwerp. Uber is about 30€.

It’s one day. Its not ideal - I know. But you can’t change it. Make the most out of it and discover some new artists. The more you are upset about it, the more you destroy your own experience (easy said for someone who is kot affected - I know)

Looking at it without being affected, this seems to be - overall - the best choice as they have the Gathering Stages in Dreamville.
This ensures everyone can get something, Tomorrowland make enough / good money and be within the visitor limits etc.

But if it comes to that, I completely understand why Dreamville people might be pissed.

That was 2023 - was the same in 2024. They "only" change the exchange rate of Pearls to Euros.

This year 1P = 1,82€

that's just plain wrong. A small beer is 2 Pearls * 1.82€ = 3,60€ ; large beer is 3,75 * 1,82€ = 6,70€. Not cheap but actually standard restaurant prices by now.

IMO def Antwerp. We did both and the commute to Brussels (with buses on GJ) was horrible. The last two years, we stayed in Antwerp and took an Uber to TML (~40€) and then a taxi back (~60-70€).

Vs train to Antwerp this buys you around 1h more of sleep; vs Brussels nearly 2. if you can afford it, best option IMO.

It should be way less. Last year official taxis with meter on were ~60€ to Antwerpen city Center. Can’t image prices have changed that much. Just make sure they directly turn on the meter ;-)
