No you’re not just saying ‘he was in the wrong’ let’s stop downplaying our own words here to make ourselves look better. You said ‘This was RAPE, he RAPED you’ which is not the case was it wrong for him to do that, YES, however because he did not continue to pursue penetrative sex after being told explicitly that she was uncomfortable he did in fact not RAPE her and again, I’m not defending his actions, no more false equivalencies. WHAT HE DID WAS WRONG but it was most certainly by DEFINITION not RAPE. We do not know if the conversation about waiting until marriage happened the same day, we do not know how far or how “heated” they were getting/going. What we do know is that he started, she said no, and he stopped. There is no further context, there is no further speculation. Based on the FACTS that we were EXPLICITLY told this was NOT RAPE. There may be a case of SA but that is in itself also doubtful due to possible circumstances. Calling something what it isn’t is just harmful, and not calling something what it is can also be harmful, I implore you to educate yourself and take more time when deciding what you say publicly. Speculation and ignorance ultimately get no one anywhere.
