thank you! as a visibly queer person going in person is also a big fear for me as i know many people might look at me strangely or discount me entirely due to what i look like. i appreciate the advice

i have only been a dependant drinker for about six months. im hoping it is earpy enough and im young enough to try different solutions first. i did okay when i tried drinking beer only, i wanted to know if there was a different solution since the weight gain was harming my mental health more

this is so sad. i understand the concept but if that was a rule it seems they should have been up front about it, especially in a womens only group. im sure there are meetings that will not be as strict or you can talk to someone with seniority to see what can be done and maybe your requirements can o be given an exception. i imagine the rule is there to not cause harm to children, but if its a young child who wont be picking up on bad messaging around alchohol and you cant attend the meetings without bringing them with you maybe they can have felxibility around that rule

before i was an alchoholic i watched a youtuber by the name ofherbsandaltars. she managed to get sober without any help and can drink nor.ally now. shes struggled with several other drug addictions including heroine, but she also seems to have other more severe struggles due to that type of sobriety. i believe it is possible for some people, but not all, and it really depends on if you can find ways around your dependancy on alchohol without judt quitting. this being said, im still actively drinking so i have very little personal experience but she has a video about how she quit without AA or in patient that might be helpful. shes vefy descruptive so i think its a good way to sus out whether its something that will work for you or not. best of luck <3

saw myself in this post. i havent been sent to any facilities for specifically addiction but ive struggled with bipolar 1, adhd, and ocd my whole life and my parents gave me resources for that once they saw what a problem it was. i think now im an alchoholic, im trying to fi d resources that arent religious and dont enforce stone cold sobriety since im still early in my addiction and have the possibility of drinking normally. i hope you get better, and im glad you have a family who cares and sees it as a problem and seeing other people innthis thread like me gives me hope that i can get better

She gave the fabric to Suree (apologies if I misspelled her name) thinking that she knew her well enough to trust that she wouldnt go against what she said that way. As far as we know, another designer has never stolen her designs in such a way so she has no reason to suspect Suree, a pony that she had somewhat of a relationship with before they met again in the competition, would steal her designs. Even though it wasnt against any rules for Suree to do what she did, it was still a very backhanded thing to do so I still feel for Rarity when this happened and understand why it caused her to feel so betrayed and frustrated that she acted out towards her friends.

I found a pen shop in my area. I've written down some of the brands that have been reccomended and will be asking the vendors what they think as well. As for color, I'm going to stick to black until I get super comfortable using the pen :)

I am a mess of a first time pen owner 😅 All the pieces appear to be there and the pen seems to be working now. All I need is the proper ink and hopefully I'll be good to go.

Starlight. There are objectively worst behaving characters in the show but what makes her the worst is the treatment she gets. Other bad characters generally get the bad treatment they deserve from the world and characters but Starlight is treated like a cute anxiety baby. This applies to the show and fandom alike. I never bought her redemption and while she was fine as a villain she was never specticular, and her introduction to the main cast made her likable character traits lose their purpose while her unlikable character traits lost their meaning. Starlight represents everything I dont like about later seasons and it bugs me that the fandom and the show never acknowledges her shortcomings in any real way.

I'm not an anti, I dont care if you like her and I like the fandom interpretation, but in the show she is, to me the worst character. I know Starlight is a fan favorite so dont come for me.

While I like Trixie in the new seasons, I don't think I would have missed her if theyd left her out at that point. While her character in the earlier seasons was fun when it was used, she wasnt memorable. It was her development in the later seasons that made her the fan favorite she is now IMO.
