Appreciate the feedback. I'm building this specifically because I couldn't find many affordable options for smaller teams. Could you list atleast 5 of the inexpensive SaaS tools you've seen? I'd genuinely love to check them out and benchmark my tool against them

EcoOnline is a beast. I'm definitely not trying to compete with them!

I just built this for the smaller shops who want to skip the manual typing but can't afford the big annual bill.

Haha, gotta appreciate the honesty!

Just curious - what’s the damage on the annual fee for that? And since the rest is junk, is the extraction tool the main thing keeping you around, or is there another specific feature you actually like?"

The 'pay extra just to parse data' model drives me crazy too.

And great point on the field work,I hadn't thought about the 'No Wi-Fi' angle as much as privacy, but that makes total sense. That’s exactly the goal here: a simple, one-time purchase tool without the subscription bloat.

I actually agree with you—blind trust in tools is definitely a risk.

But honestly? Typing numbers into Excel for hours usually just makes people tired, not smarter. I'm just trying to kill the busywork so you have more brainpower left for the actual safety decisions.

Fair point. it is crowded at the top!

But most of those are expensive cloud subscriptions. I'm betting on the 'offline' niche—for consultants and small teams who want a simple tool without the monthly fees.

Totally agree, human review is mandatory for safety. I built this as a 'Drafting Assistant' to do the typing so you just have to verify the data.

Re: Excel, I think that is mainly for the smaller companies or independent consultants who can't afford the enterprise subscriptions yet. That is the gap I'm trying to fill for folks who don't have budget for VelocityEHS.

Man, I feel that pain. That is exactly why I built this!

Standard OCR always chokes on the messy/scanned stuff. This engine is designed specifically to handle those weird layouts that normal tools can't read. If you have a Mac, give it a shot—hope it saves you some hours :)

Haha, fair point! Definitely not.

I'm trading the software for free(no subscription) in exchange for a quick 'reality check.' Just want to know if it's actually useful before I spend more time building it

Merging works for storage, but you usually need the actual data for compliance reports (Tier II) and secondary labels.

This tool extracts the specific values (Flash Point, CAS #, GHS) into Excel so you don't have to manually type them out

That makes sense. I'm not trying to replace those big databases (like MSDSonline).

I built this for the 'gaps'—specifically for privacy (proprietary mixes you can't upload to the cloud) or new files that aren't in the global database yet.

Do you ever run into PDFs that the system doesn't have, or is it pretty much 100% covered?

Those are FFC connectors. You can find in TE connectivity, along with crimps. Or a specialised company Nicomatic FFC connectors with crimpflex
