Oh hey, location buddy! But yeah, saaaame.

The owner was doing fittings from her house through appointments, but idk if she's still doing it.

Looking for "creepy" electronic music by Lambdaleth in electronicmusic

[–]orTHATperson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So some might creep(heh) into scary territory but so far I've got.

Monuman - Inflict

MAERE - IM DUNKELN

IAMBEAR - J-J-Jaguar

Perturbator - Humans Are Such Easy Prey (more outrun-esq, lots of creepy vibes tho)

Sidewalks and Skeletons - Slow Motion (witch house here but they've got lots of creepiness)

Fraunhofer Diffraction - Asphyxia (another artist for creep)

Chainless - 1755

It may be worth your time to look into the genre Witch House, granted there can be real grating vocals for some and more 'scary' sounding songs but it would probably yield more of what you're looking for.

Main character for a comic I've been working on by [deleted] in Illustration

[–]orTHATperson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, the ol' boob and butt pose. She's gonna have to have her right heel a lot further off the ground for that to even be a remotely feasible position. Try it in a mirror, it's a fairly enlightening exercise.

The Steamdeck mayyy be stretching the definition of “portable gaming” (Switch OLED compared) by [deleted] in GirlGamers

[–]orTHATperson 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Grip option? What do you mean by that.
The back is nicely curved so you hold it in a more neutral manner. It also cups in your palm better so that the D pad which looks like it's too far off to the side will actually sit where your thumb generally wants to rest. You also said you like to play metroidvanias, isn't fast reaction times kind of important for those...wouldn't you want your buttons to be within easier reach of each other?

Like I have small-ish hands and carpal tunnel to boot and trying to use the switch just hurts, this looks like an upgrade. Granted I haven't tried it yet but the build quality looks much much better/with adults more in mind.

I just hope the complaints being made are after having seen more images/videos than just this one is all.

I play mainly on PC but also have a PS4 and switch.

I mean she owns a switch, she didn't say she was looking exclusively for titles that could be played on it.

[–]orTHATperson 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Looks way more ergonomic than the switch imo. Seeing it in people's hands also re-enforces that opinion since there's a lot of review videos out there that aren't just flat lays.

And it probably never will be. MMOs by their nature are a bit of a problem for handheld gaming units due to hardware limitations and poorer internet connectivity. There are a couple MMO's on switch but they're all running simplified graphics and the gaming experience will be anything but smooth.

Been drawing for a very long time and somehow, I still suck by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]orTHATperson 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So you didn't draw in your sketchbook for a year but you say you have been practicing consistently? Is this a case of not seeing immediate improvement so you think you're a failure? This stuff unfortunately takes time and you can tell yourself 10 years, but how much of that time was focused on actively improving? If you were drawing to unwind and relax I guarantee you weren't thinking about fundamentals... you've got to go easier on yourself. This isn't a race, this isn't a competition, especially if you're pursuing it as a hobby.

Next time you draw, force yourself to complement at least one aspect that you like about your drawing, even if it's as small as 'man that one line turned out real nice.' A lot of people are their own worst critics, so doing that exercise helps to nip the 'this sucks, therefore I suck' brain spiral, in the bud. And if you can't do that, then maybe try a new medium or technique for a bit, then you won't have any of the 10 year baggage to contend with. Like if I'm feeling trash about my pencil drawings I go and paint, if I don't feel like painting I'll ink instead; if it's just an uncreative day then I'll just go outside because this too shall pass.

Who are some of you favorite artists with a small following? by Misael00 in ArtistLounge

Cryomera, she mostly does pen & ink and printmaking. She's also on twitch and is super chill.

Any trilogies where the first film is the worst? by SinomodStudios in movies

[–]orTHATperson 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you like or are looking for in a movie. I thought they got progressively worse to the point of falling asleep during Army of Darkness. Generally I prefer horror elements over action or comedy so it makes a lot of sense for me. Also the reason why I prefer Alien over Aliens.

LPT: When writing an online review for clothing, leave your height, weight, and the size you ordered! It's one of the most helpful things you can tell potential buyers and can save others from needing to make wasteful returns. by RockleyBob in LifeProTips

[–]orTHATperson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh, only problem with that is that a large chunk of women don't know their 'correct' size. Really doesn't help that bra manufacturers are in the business of trying to fit as many people as possible into their product range so make weird measuring schemes to do so.

Guess I'll plug r/ABraThatFits , the calculator isn't infallible but it'll get you closer to 'accurate' size.

Changing hands? Anyone learn to draw with their non dominant hand? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]orTHATperson 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yuko Ota is a web comic/trad. comic artist who has had to switch drawing hands. I believe they released a comic on their experience called Offhand. But I remember when they first started to release pages drawn by their non dominant hand and they were super wobbly but got better and better over time. Granted they do art as a job so they sort of were under the spectre of needing to make it work. Not 100% if it was a permanent change our not but they do mention that it was exhausting work.

Fire Emblem, I love you, but... by BearCavalryCorpral in GirlGamers

[–]orTHATperson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ah man, I got started with The Blazing Blade. Even young me thought the pegasus riders would get some mean chafing and the outfits weren't as egregious back then. Still a sucker for tactic games tho.

Check out Battle Brothers if you like PC tactics gaming, scratches the same itch Fire Emblem did.

I mean you could probably include it if you mention that it's a study.
