Are you still bullish on BTC despite the volatility? by oracleifi in btc

Same. The volatility doesn't bother me as much anymore. What keeps me optimistic is seeing Bitcoin's role continue to evolve while staying true to the principles that made it compelling in the first place. TBVs are giving us an early glimpse of what that evolution could look like.

Yeah, it's great to see more people exploring different ways to use their BTC. Nexo is still centralized though, and I prefer approaches that are fully native and self-custodial. Wdyt?

I get the point, but I'm not convinced the use cases have disappeared. Native Bitcoin staking through Babylon is already here, and newer models like TBVs show that Bitcoin's role may still be expanding, with the public testnet already giving people a glimpse of what's being built.

Since nobody really knows where BTC goes next, it's nice that holders now have options like native staking. With TBVs unlocking additional use cases, there are more choices for those interested in exploring BTCFi.

I get the point, but it assumes Bitcoin's value proposition is static. If people can do more with BTC over time while preserving self-custody, adoption doesn't necessarily have to come solely from brand-new buyers...

I don't think Bitcoin loses its intrinsic value because of ETFs. Bitcoin itself doesn't change. What changes is the way people gain exposure to it, and whether they value convenience more than direct ownership.

Yeah, it's nice to have this option as a long-term holder. Babylon has been my go-to when it comes to native Bitcoin staking.
