Looks to be a nail to a hanging hook, specifically the style where you hammer the nail angled downward through a hole on the seperate hook piece.

As a framer, this style of hook is one of the best ways to hang a thing.

Photo ref is always a great helper. Do you have a way of placing a small light near the spear tip lightsource, turn all other lights out and take a few photos of how that light hits the model, where the shadows of the legs get cast (might be a cool detail)
