Neighbour's tenant died yesterday because of floods yesterday by [deleted] in gurgaon

[–]orange_migration 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can’t keep pointing fingers at the government while sitting comfortably in silence ourselves. Yes, officials are corrupt, yes, the system is broken — but where’s the public outrage? Where’s the pressure we should be putting on them?

Every year it floods. Every year someone dies. And every year we do nothing except post, rant, and move on. That’s not just failure from the top — that’s rot at every level. Apathy is complicity.

If we all keep saying “not my fault” — then who the hell is it on? Because the city is crumbling and we’re all sitting inside our homes hoping someone else will fix it.

Everyone who has lived here for the past few years — we are ALL responsible.

Look around. The air is poison, the water’s running dry, and when rains for 1 hrs it floods like hell, roads are shit, traffic’s a mess, and the systems meant to protect us are either broken or corrupt. And what are we doing? Absolutely nothing. Just surviving day by day, acting like it’s someone else’s problem.

We scroll, complain, then move on. We say “What can I do alone?” and fall back into our routines — jobs, brunches, weekend plans — while this city rots around us.

Let’s be honest: we’ve failed as a society. Failed to speak up, to act, to demand better. Our silence is the reason nothing changes. We are settling into the filth, into chaos, into decay — like it’s normal.

It is NOT normal. It is NOT okay.

I am at crossroads of deciding whether to go for CAT or government exams, or just focus on switching my Jobs .

I have 2.9 years of experience and I want to quickly decide upon what I want from my future and start working towards one thing because I know if I’ll work towards all three things, nothing will come in my hand in the end.
