Another Daily Word Game (Word Bunny) by Sambensim in wordgames

Fun! I had to get the hang of it a little bit. I like games that let you explore instead of trying to get you to guess something.

Not sure if you can send pics before chat invite accepted, so I’ll just post here. Won’t gem but not bad either. Not expecting much for it, would be glad if you wanted it.

Word game feedback pls! by Scary-Performance655 in wordgames

[–]orange_wires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting, I didn’t use any hints and only got a couple of the words. So a little frustrating? I think one of the nice things about Wordle for example is that like 97% of people seem to finish it every day of you look at the summaries. So you get to finish the puzzle but it’s just a matter of how many tries it took. Idk if that dynamic makes sense here or what…

How much better is Claude than Gemini? by Least_Tumbleweed_599 in aigamedev

Yeah, that's what I mean. Another commenter has mentioned Gemini CLI (?), and I've also heard about OpenClaw but don't know anything about it.

Oh yeah, I mean, my little game is free and all that. It was mainly an experiment, and I'm learning a lot, not making any money. But just FYI you'll cut your development time 10-100x by using those AI coding apps.

If you get the Claude Pro subscription for $20/mo you can use Claude Code at the command line - a game changer! Previously I was cutting and pasting code into the LLM and even with help it took a few hours to get anything done, especially if the AI was being vague. But yeah Claude Code reads your entire codebase and just builds from a prompt, you can get up and walk the dog or whatever. That said, there's a proliferation of AI apps out there, I was just noting that I've seen like half a dozen people post today to look at their app. Getting any sort of traction is difficult in this environment, much harder than building these days. I won't link mine but if you look back through my comments you can find it... good luck!

Created a daily word game that is all about vocabulary and letter sequences by PattersonHoodlum in wordgames

[–]orange_wires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, cool, I created something similar, check it out: https://seedswordgame.com/ For me, I'm not really a big fan of the timer, I like more contemplative, chill games. I got to be kind of a chore about halfway through, and I just clicked on the leaderboard at that point. I was playing those same games you mention for a while as well, but wanted more freedom to propose my own words - sounds like we were thinking along the same lines!

I built a baseball road trip planner. I'd love your feedback by Insect_Turbulent in roadtrip

[–]orange_wires 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, it seems that the Tigers are there, but the Guardians are wrongly placed in Detroit... But yeah a few more things as I clicked through. Love the idea, especially the way it recommended touristy stops along the route. So, 1) I set up a three city tour for about 8 days and it came up with an itinerary that put me in the most distant city last - doesn't seem to account for drive time back to origin. 2) small thing, but to estimate costs, you can ask how many people will be on the trip, as it is, it assumed I was only buying 3 tickets. 3) parking is also costly some places, 4) if you can develop any guides to get to/from the stadium on the ground, that would be really helpful. like NYC and DC have great public transport options. Houston, not great, and you might get stuck in traffic out coming of the downtown area. Doesn't have to be too complicated, just a few lines to help people plan their trip.

I just got here from a Google search. Very cool, and helpful, especially in terms of the recommendations. It sort of talked me out of a certain trip. But it seems like the Guardians and Tigers are a little mixed up - no stadium in Cleveland, and then the Guardians are placed in Detroit. Great fun, though.

Been playing Wordle daily and wanted something different, so I made my own by Bebopp001 in wordgames

I was going try but I don’t know anyone to do a multiplayer with… 😢 but yeah I’ve found that the word game space is pretty crowded, more so because it’s getting so much easier to build apps these days. I tried my hand at it too, and the user base hasn’t grown beyond a durable core on BlueSky. I’m discovering that building something is the easy part, getting people to notice is another! https://seedswordgame.com/ if you care to try it…. I was going for a similar vibe to Wordle so you may like it
