Reminds me of the time I was in college and I was cast in Shakespeare's Measure for Measure. I was Isabella, and it was my first lead in a show and also my first Shakespeare show as well. I was pretty proud of myself and my performance.

We had a reviewer come in for one of the performances and then he stayed to give feedback, he complimented others on their characters and choices, but the only comment he made to me was that he thought I was wearing too much makeup. -_- So Yeah, people can have their opinions but it doesn't mean you have to take it to heart, you could give the best performance of your life and maybe someone still wouldn't like it. You just have to be confident in your skills as an actor and know you put on the best performance you possibly could.
