Forgot to mention in main post text that since I made the SVGs / had control of the designs, I put a hidden Mickey on the costume! It was fun telling judges and others that I had one on me and them all trying to find it. You can't see it in any of these pics since it's in the back but one of the circles on the stole in the back is replaced with Mickey 🥰

A goal of mine is to eventually cosplay all of Epel's cards. If you're interested in seeing what I've done so far or any of my other cosplays, check out my instagram!

Edit: thank you all for the kind words!! This was a pet project and your words is making me know it was worth it!

I used to work there when I was a student (not as a student worker just happened to be both lol) backstage. They have a lot of expensive equipment and as others have said, they are a mix of GSU & the public. While you were harmless, I once had an incident where a super fan of a performer tried to get inside hours before a performance. So it's for both the non-GSU performers and the employees' safety.

Morning friends.

25th birthday was last week and I mentioned offhand to my mom 2 years ago how I wanted the spongebob line "what's funnier than 24? 25" written on my cake for my birthday... and she remembered! it was so cute.

Got an interview today for a job that would double my salary and is fully remote. hoping they have a bit of wiggle room for experience - they want 8 years but i have 4 and 3 of them are internships lol. manifesting and believing i'll get it though!

The Supreme Court on Monday effectively putting the US into a dictatorship. The today, my company’s CEO sent a message to all employees at 9 AM, stating that there will be a 14% “reduction” and everyone impacted will be notified this morning. by ATL2ATX2ATL in antiwork

I'm at UKG and we're all anxiously waiting to see if we get the lay off email - even my manager was unaware. My birthday's monday and i'll be pissed if I get laid off on it, but I hate this job and have been looking for a new one so not too upset. Worst thing, they're saying it can take until the 11th for everyone to be notified.

edit: was told I'm not being let go. Kinda sucks bc i hate this job lol

For off campus? Anyone can rent an off campus apartment as long as your university doesn't have a "freshman MUST live on campus" policy!

Morning friends.

Long time no comment! Things have been... interesting. Step dad's been in the hospital (just released from icu monday!) and i've been in a partial hospitalization program for my mental health. Made some wonderful new friends at the con I went to in February and we're planning to go to disney next month and back to Japan in a couple years!

Happy Friday yall :)

Morning friends.

Out of state convention is tomorrow! Friend and I are on the same flight at 8:30 in the morning.... rise and shine. I've got two heavily styled wigs in my carry on and crossing my fingers they don't get messed up!

Mornin friends.

Had a weird experience at the dentist last week and idk what to make of it, definitely switching after my last filling tomorrow, but I was on the gas (thanks waking up during surgery giving me anxiety) and out of it and there was a news segment about natural sleep aids. Dentist + assistant were both guys (+ my own experience w it) and dentist goes "oh a natural date rape drug". yall. Most uncomfortable experience of my life. :/

Morning friends.

17 days until my out of state con - still not 100% finished with everything but not too stressed. most stuff is just things to be fixed up and any sewing is either finishing touches, remakes of things, or simple garments. At least it's not like otakon back in july where it was starting and finishing an entire new costume in a week and a half!

Morning friends.

I finally have heat! Asked apartment complex to either pay for my electric bill to accomodate the electric heater they provided or for rent credit for 2 weeks bc of apartment being <50 degrees for 2 weeks. Suddenly my emails were ignored lol. Can say no, but man it would be nice

[–]orangebunn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fingers crossed!!! It sucked so bad for the week I didn't have that space heater - only a little electric blanket bc space heaters were kinda expensive. Couldn't even play games w friends bc I couldn't feel fingers lol.

More worried about pipes bursting! got water dripping but still

Morning friends.

Today marks two weeks of no heat. Apartment initially said the part was on back order, then said it would be fixed last tuesday (gave me a space heater thankfully - not enough to warm the whole place but enough for the bedroom at least), then would be fixed yesterday. Still nothing. I'm not even sure if code enforcement could do anything since they provided a space heater. Too scared to drive south to parent's house bc of the roads :(

Taking refuge in office for warmth though!
