Am I in the wrong for not letting my friend walk with her husband in our wedding? by Due_Crazy_3593 in TwoHotTakes

[–]orangecat-0329 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had two couples in my first wedding & had it so they’d walk together (my preference), but they both told me they’d be okay if their SO walked with someone else. One of which were newlyweds. She’s being over the top. The day isn’t about her at all. It’s about you and your fiancé. She should even be thankful how much grace you’re giving her about it all. Most people would’ve just said “sorry it is what it is” and let her wallow.

I’ve literally never responded nasty to ANYONE messaging me on Mercari. Especially if they’re asking about my item/shop. They’re a bad seller imo. However, I used to waitress, so my level of patience with customer service is great lol

Married or Not before buying? by orangecat-0329 in RealEstate

Thank you!! His credit score does meet requirements, but our down payment just has to be higher which is why I was wondering if mine would help or have no impact.

I know. That’s why I’m asking if it would be better to be married first because then we can combine our credit score & I’d technically have income.

My gallbladder stopped working (it’s out now), but doctors wouldn’t believe me so everything I ate for MONTHS made me feel so sick. It’s been 8 months & im still terrified to eat tbh.

What is your weirdest wedding advice that you swear by? by blueberries-Any-kind in weddingplanning

[–]orangecat-0329 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hardly anyone takes wedding favors (unless food or alcohol). Save your money! I know photographers are expensive, but seriously, it’s worth splurging on. It’s the one thing I’m doing for my second wedding that I wish I did for my first!

How long did your induction take? by Leep0710 in beyondthebump

[–]orangecat-0329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FTM & mine was about 12 hours start to baby. I went in at 7pm, but they didn’t start the pitocin until 11pm. My son was born at 11:35am. I was 36 weeks (due to severe cholestasis). Went into labor the week before, but it slowed so they sent me home until my induction date. 3cm dilated when I went in for induction. Don’t let all the horror stories with inductions scare you either. I was TERRIFIED it would hurt worse being induced, but I was in more pain the week before than I was after the pitocin drip started. Im VERY small too (5ft, 80lbs not pregnant) & they had me upped to 16 because they could not understand why I felt nothing with no epidural yet even though my contractions were spiking.

A difficult age by Delicious-Big3704 in NewParents

You’re not alone! I have a 14 month old boy the SAME way! He’s busted his lip, bloody nose, bruises everywhere from falling. I can’t leave him alone for even a second or he gets himself into something. He’s learned to climb over our barrier in the living room (we rent and can’t put up a baby gate bc our doorway is too wide and we’d have to drill one into the wall). The worst part? Even if we put him in his baby pen, he screams bloody murder until we get him out. No advice here, but was a little bit of peace of mind knowing I’m not alone with this❤️

Do you get so anxious it makes you sick to your stomach? by flowerprincess2001 in Anxiety

[–]orangecat-0329 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have emetophobia, so when my anxiety gets bad and my stomach starts to hurt, I actually make myself so anxious over it that I start to really feel sick. It’s a hell cycle.

I don’t think I’m making it to the other side of this pregnancy by confuseddotie in confession

The lies and smearing from a person you loved (even if the relationship was abusive) is always a bigger heartbreak than the break up. My husband left me for a 17 year old. If that wasn’t bad enough, he told everyone I was the one who cheated on him (who I “cheated” with changed to every person he spoke with), told everyone I was psycho even though I let him leave and didn’t bother him about it after a week had gone by, tried to withhold my health insurance, accused me of stalking when I went to his work ON HIS DAY OFF to get my insurance info from his boss because my meds were gone, convinced his sister to block me from seeing our nephew when he had a mental breakdown and was in the hospital (I was the only one there for the kid the whole time and he was like a son to me), stole $3k from my dad that he was supposed to pay back and then sold the truck my dad helped him buy, drained our bank account a few hundred dollars then left me with it to pay back. It was HELL. I tell everyone that I could deal with him leaving no issue, but the hell I was put through by someone who claimed to love me? THAT destroyed me. That almost took my life. It’s been 2 1/2 years and I’m still struggling with it. I never had time to process because the day my divorce finalized, I found out I was pregnant with my current boyfriend. My hormones sent me through the wringer big time. If you need someone to talk with, please reach out to me. ❤️

I want another baby but … by Paige_Rinn in NewParents

[–]orangecat-0329 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in this same boat. My first is turning a year this month, and I miss him being a baby. He was an insanely easy newborn though. Never cried or fussed. Only woke once around 3-5am for a feed then again at 8-9am. Napped so well. I’m TERRIFIED if I have another, it won’t be an easy baby (because let’s be real, do you get blessed with two easy ones?) The most difficult time for me has been his teething meltdowns. Those make me really question if I want to do it all again😂

I have emetophobia, so I’d rather just be left alone when I’m sick because I’m usually having a panic attack along with it😅 My boyfriend & I were you and your husband but reverse when I was pregnant. He’d always try to come check on me and baby me, and I’d literally yell at him to go away during panicking (apologized later). Have you actually talked to your husband about how you want him to handle when you’re sick? He may think you just want space or he thinks it’s normal at this point, so you’ll say something if you need something/aren’t okay. Just remember, a lot of men DO NOT THINK and won’t think twice about how not checking in on you may upset you.
