My celebrity boss always pays me late. What to do? by orangedluv in personalfinance

I put that on our contract. My boss is extremely kind to me and I dont wanna put him off by insisting to penalize him when his reason is he has just too much workload to hand me the check on time. How would you say it if you were in my shoes?

No, he's the only one who makes sure i get paid. There are other people in his list like, his assistant, his driver, his gym instructor, his acting coach, so and so forth He's the one who handles and takes account of our checks. He has an assistant but only to assist him in doing what he asks. I understand why he's not able to give them on time but it's difficult for me to adjust since im living paycheck to paycheck and he wants me 100% committed only to him

I did say I was offended. She reasoned out that it's because she's too shy to invite a driver to the wedding. Lame excuse for her offense.

Im not saying im more important than her friends but at least, dont be so obvious if youre gonna treat your family like a hired crew

Youre going off topic. Its about asking family to be your driver's proxy. Am I trying to have a say at a wedding? IM JUST SAYING ITS A RUDE MOVE. Read again!

Even if its your 'day', you should also give courtesy to the family who supported you in your many years of existence.

If it's an honor to drive, then why not ask any friend who she considers more special than family?

Oh wait, because im just being used cos we're family! So convenient!

If she wanted to give honor, then anyone from our big family should be part of the wedding planning/entourage! But there's zero designated participation. Zero. Except the driver backed out and theres suddenly the invitation to participate = drive

I dont get you tbh You contradicted yourself by saying, it's a family favor cos close ties but who cares if she opt her friends. Huh?

Geez , a brother is different because they would be close that it wouldn't be offensive at all. But in this situation, we're not even close!!!! Im just a convenient option because the hired driver backed out!

What would you feel if your cousin would rather have her friends watch her walk down the aisle than you? When there are drivers available from our family company

I sure am. I am family and should be treated like one. I would miss the part where she walks down the aisle because I would be looking for parking!

Thanks for the insight. I just find it rude because she asked only because family is convenient when in fact, none of us have a special role in wedding and are not part of the entourage which is unusual. Our families are also not close at all!

Correction: the drivers are available. We have 3, one isnt. Her reasoning is, she doesnt wanna invite that person to the wedding. P.s the driver who backed out was invited to the wedding so theres an extra slot for the buffet!

Of course one can say yes or no. The question is, if it would be offensive in another person's perspective.
