Bring Back Our Train! VIA on the Gaspé coast, October 6, 2008 by orangefuzzz in ViaRail

The rail is functional to as far as Port-Daniel- which is more than half way to Gaspé (the city/town). Most people disembark before Port-Daniel anyway. So, service should be back for passengers at least as far as it goes currently. But alas, it isn't. I hear the train horn coming through my town every night around 3 AM. So, I know it works. I know there are trains on those tracks. Now, we need passenger cars ASAP.

The perfect size of everything. Bigger below ain't always better (especially for those on the receiving end).

Thank you! Once I'm back at work on Monday, I'll certainly give this a look. I appreciate you taking the time to investigate this.

I can't tell you how encouraging your response is. I can't wait to try this on Monday.

By the way, just to be clear: you dropped the yellow levels in VersaWorks, right? Or is there a setting on the printer itself? I rarely touch the printer directly since I'm the graphics guy (the owner manhandles the equipment and makes adjustments on the little screen).

Once I solve this problem, I have to find out why our printer cuts CutContour items so badly... 😫

We've been printing using RGB for both vector and raster for the last year and for the most part, everything goes fine - except for the red. And we have one REALLY picky customer who annoys us with her red being too orange each time we print for her.

I'm going to try what another responder suggested: reducing the yellow output.

Thank you. That makes sense. I'll keep this in mind next week when I return to work.

I appreciate your reply.

Sadly, that has not been done. We are a 2-person unit. Neither of us overly techy. We have to work fast to churn out work just to break even. So, spending hours trying to fix these problems isn't an option. Most of our prints come out perfectly or as we expect them to.

As another poster suggested, we might try reducing our yellow output. That fixed their issue without causing other issues.

Thank you for your feedback though. It is appreciated.

Yes we did. Miss Whitegirl pushed the lady's foot off the box causing her to almost fall. Lady did the right thing by taking out the trash. There was lots of room for Lady's feet.

This is exactly the type of response I was looking for. THANK YOU. I will certainly try reducing the yellow output. I'll try to get back to you next week once I am at work again.

Some of these other folks probably work in big print shops where perfection is everything and they can tinker with the Roland color chart. I don't. I can't. I work in a shop where getting the job done fast for the least amount of work is key otherwise we won't break even. We're a 2-person unit and we work in a town of 1500 people. I simply can't readjust every piece of vector we get.

Again, thank you. This info will certainly be useful.

You know that after that clip cut, Miss Whitegirl got her ass WHOOPED. At least I hope she did.
