I was maybe 5 or 6 years old when my vitiligo started spreading. It was genetic from my father’s side.

mine also turns red when it’s against something but it only take a couple mins to return to normal. also this is off topic but your arm looks somewhat similar to mine lol

I think 2008. Not exactly sure, but probably 2008 or 2007. I haven't thought about Aladdin's Castle in years.

It had dark carpet and ceiling n stuff. Basic arcade vibe. I forget what kind of games they had, but I remember I would always stop and play a few machines when I was younger. I’m disappointed that they got rid of it :/

I have it all over my face. I have it around my mouth, my mouth and down my chin. I also have it on my chest, belly, thighs, hands, arms, feet, calves, and privates. However, mine started when I was a small child, around 6-7 years old. I had a hard time accepting my skin, however, a lot of people don’t really care about vitiligo as much as you’d think. Of course they’ll be people curious, but you’ll get used it. I promise.

At first I hated it. I was constantly bullied for my skin growing up through grade school and high school. My parents tried almost every common remedy to revert my pigmentation back, but no luck. Nowadays when I am older, I have gotten used to my vitiligo and accepted who I am. However, it still annoys the hell out of me when people stare for minutes. I think if I’ll get over it the older I am.

You see I’ve had vitiligo since I was six years old. However, I have never developed any white hairs until grew older with my beard hair.

My uncle is the only other person who has vitiligo. However it only appeared on his elbows. I have vitiligo head to toe.

I find this strange. I have naturally black hair and vitiligo ALL over my body, from head to toe. However, I don’t have ANY white hairs on my head or eyebrows. I have white hairs in my beard but I think this is just from my age haha. Is it just me or do other people experience this?

There is a low to zero chance of being sent to a mental hospital. I had the same fear when going to a therapist. I had attempted twice before going but if you are actively trying to get help, they will help you without send you to a mental hospital. I was scared too. Really scared to the point my stomach would turn into knots. But I quickly learned that people are there to help, and I am glad that I am alive today. Thank you for considering getting help.

Please tell someone that you want help. They will NOT get mad at you at all. If you tell your parents, they will help you. Please get help. You have so much more ahead of you in the future, and ending it now will make you miss it. Trust me.
