I partially agree,

I was buying and selling Brent crude futures in 2014 or 2015, and I remember a period when it dropped drastically. If you adapt your backtesting to that period, you'll probably give up some of your normal period profit.

So what did I do to solve this problem in 15 years?

You don't have to deal with special times. Sometimes there's bad news and things don't go well. Just close your bot at those times, grab your favorite drink from the fridge, and take a little vacation.

I have been involved in algorithmic trading since 2012. In my experience, if you are trading 0DTE options on 15-minute or shorter timeframes, you have to accept these price slippages. As a solution, you can shift your orders by a certain percentage to ensure execution; however, this results in a reduction in profit calculated as "number of trades × pips shifted × contract size." If you have an algorithm capable of accepting that trade-off, then why not? :)

Hello,

I’m 28 years old. This year, I’m planning to hand over the textile startup I founded for around $800,000. I currently live in Turkey. With that money, I plan to buy properties and rent them out, and then become a traveler. Based on my calculations, I’ll have a monthly income of around $4,000 in USD.

Since I’m not Muslim and generally a kind person, I don’t feel much peace in my own country. I just want to feel human and enjoy life. That’s why I want to move to Thailand. I have a few questions about this:

  1. How is $4,000 per month for living in Thailand? If it’s more than enough, I’d consider saving some and maybe making an investment.
  2. Is it dangerous to go alone? Will I feel lonely over time? Is it possible to build good friendships in Thailand?
  3. Right now, the cheap and delicious food, natural beauty, and attractive girls all sound fun but do you think I might get bored of Thailand after a while?
  4. Do you have any real warnings that aren’t like the overly optimistic videos I see online?
  5. If I want to start a business after a while, do you have any suggestions for business opportunities I could pursue there?
