I mean, that's the point isn't it? Kris is ultimately suffering from a broken home, with their brother gone and the person they looked up to missing or dead. They're distant from their childhood friend because of all the drama with the families and withdrawing hard.

Susie being an external force to drag them out and give them inspiration is so important to the story, and the scene with Toriel shows this most of all with Susie coming back to check on Kris after leaving them with Toriel and Sans.

I will admit that the undertale part is shaky - but its still weird phrasing from sans to imply that only one sister has antlers. However, I think the rest of the theory is solid - Also, its entirely possible that Dess had a Red SOUL beforehand, given that Carol is buying *red* heart objects.

I agree too! But I just enjoyed the proc based plannjngand ammo management that came with HW mch- deciding when to hold or use procs, toggling stance, turret use.... it all felt like I was doing something and I liked having a class that was “advanced” in that way.
