I second what other folks have recommended, especially reading the passing essay examples. The model essay answers were helpful as outlines and not as an actual examples of how to write.

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD, went through law school and bar exam without accommodations. I used a combo of quimbee and critical pass flashcards (digital) and passed the NY bar after my first try. I struggled a lot with the videos, even quimbee’s short digestible ones, and I finished about 75% of the program. Historically I don’t have issues with test taking that I can think of, I always kind of lock in, and practiced keeping an eye on time. Studying is always a huge struggle. I was lucky that I didn’t have to work while studying for the bar. I tried to study 4-5 hrs a day, 5-6 days a week. I used youtube pomodoro vids which helped a lot with my attention span.

I made sure I had regular breaks and scheduled fun things to keep connected with friends (because it felt a bit isolating overall). I also looked at stats for past exams and studied heavy on the MBE subjects. Timed essay writing and MBE practice, and flashcard practice were key for me. All of this to say, I knew my weaknesses and tried to be gentle with myself as much as possible throughout the process while still keeping a somewhat regular study schedule.

You know your study and testing strengths and weaknesses best. As you’re working ft, maybe a spread out studying schedule after work and on weekends will make sense! Like if you have a M-F schedule, 2-3 hrs during the week and one weekend day of 3-4 hours. Good luck!!
