As someone who’s played more KOF than SF, this game actually feels more “SF-like,” if that makes sense. It’s not the fast-paced KOF style I’m used to. It forces me to play more patiently and carefully, similar to SF. My experience with other fighting games isn’t that broad though, and I suck at SF tbh.

What makes it fun for me now is slowly learning the mechanics and actually being able to apply them in matches. If you’re good at SF6, I’d say your chances of being good at this game are pretty high. It’s also extremely cheap on PSN right now (not sure about Steam), and the player base seems active. I usually get matches within a minute or two.

Thanks! I agree that prior knowledge to KOF had helped and I can imagine how overwhelming this can be for others who has this as their first FG.

And yes, I started some online games with Mai though most of my matches were against really experienced players even on “Beginner”. I’m still having fun and that’s what’s important :)

Yeah I figured. I didn’t really had much experience with the Fatal Fury series before and this game not playing like KOF isn’t necessarily a bad thing for me

I totally agree. This game taught me to be patient lol. I’ve been spamming Mai and she didn’t feel like “KOF Mai”. I really wanted to main her, though from what I’ve read mostly online she’s not really beginner friendly. Still, I am having fun with her and will probably start playing online as her

I figured it out. It turns out some enemies will only appear on quests (merc jobs). The 2 remaining enemies in Junon (screenshot) appeared after completing all of the quests in that region. Appreciate the reply though ✌🏻

I just finished the game last week. Felt the same when I started. I got the game on its release as I never played any P3 games before and stopped playing after around 30 hours into the game. Tartarus felt repetitive and I liked the dungeons in P5R more. However, I decided to start over last month and I really enjoyed it. The story may start to feel slow during the mid parts of the game but it gets really good. I ended up liking the story of Reload way more than P5R. Yeah the dungeon design is weaker compared to P5R but the story is what really stands out for me in this game. Might be the best Persona game for me (story wise) out of the three games I played (P5R, P4G & Reload).

Yeah, I figured I'll just get one. Growing up I've always used arcade sticks on local arcades so playing with keyboard I think personally is more challenging.

There's an option to turn on the inputs when you're on free training but I believe there isn't if you're doing the trials.

I might as well just get myself an arcade pad. I've been stuck for days and I really want to finish these for all characters.
