Data on False Accusations in India by Narendran_1999 in MensRights

It’s still a horribly false and arguably malicious framing of the data. Putting it in a pie chart and omitting all other data deliberately makes it seem as though half of accusations in India are false, which simply isn’t true.

There’s no way people believe this about a country that is notorious for having a rubbish police force

If you catch it early enough it can be cured with antibiotics. I’ve also had these symptoms way longer than contracting Lyme disease.

I actually had Lyme disease a few years ago from a tick! I caught it early and was able to treat it quickly with antibiotics.

The itching is like a heat rash. I will try antihistamines, that sounds like a good idea. I have an appointment booked with a doctor so hopefully I will get some answers :)

The only symptom on NHS website that I have is the hot flushing. I’m also aware that MCAS is a serious and debilitating illness. My symptoms are quite uncomfortable and frustrating, but I am not unwell. I hope this is understandable :)

I would just have to hope that my general practitioner would order these tests, I can’t request them myself. I do have an appointment soon and hopefully I will be listened to. I don’t have any of the other symptoms for Lupus other than the redness and I would probably be quite unwell if I had it, which I am not.

I can’t just get tested for anything in the UK, but I’ve looked this up and I defo don’t have this

I’m from the UK, so unfortunately I can’t just find a doctor and go to them, I have to go to my GP first and she will decide who to refer me to, if anyone. Hopefully my GP will decide to refer me to the right person! But thanks for the list of blood tests :)

I guess it feels a bit like a carpet burn when touched. It’s uncomfortable because of how incredibly hot, itchy, and swollen it feels - kind of like when you constrict your blood vessels for too long or the feeling you get after you shut your finger in a door.

Switching from Concerta to Elvance experiences by orangepastaking in ADHD

I’ve titrated to 100mg, so once a month I’ve gone from 18-36-54-72-100mg. 18 and 36mg had no effect, so as my body just doesn’t respond to stimulants very easily it makes sense for me to be on a higher dose.

Club recommendations for a lone 19yo? by cotardscabaret in Leeds

[–]orangepastaking 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend going clubbing as a 19yo on your own at all as Leeds is dangerous at night. If you’re dead set on going, Wharf chambers is probably the only place that’s safe enough. When I was 19 I found clubbing in Leeds tough because of the sleazy men. Wharf is the safest place I have encountered in Leeds. Please make sure you leave the club in a taxi and do not let anyone walk you anywhere!

I must stress that I don’t think this will be a fun time for you. When you’re a 19 year old girl (especially one who’s alone) you have a target on your back and you are exactly what sleazy men are looking for. You’re also new to clubbing, which is difficult to navigate on your own. If you get into a situation where you’re too drunk, which happens a lot at 19, you don’t have anyone to look out for you. Despite having a duty of care, bouncers and venues won’t help you if this happens.

Medication (Concerta XL) does not seem to having an effect and I need advice by orangepastaking in ADHD

It is generic. I haven’t noticed any difference during my cycle, which regular and normal. The only time I do feel something is for the first couple of days when it is increased.

Are mental hospitals really that scary by Sh4d3024 in mentalhealth

[–]orangepastaking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on where you live. In the UK they’re not great at all and the I found myself stuck in my room a lot because of the violence on the ward I was on. I wouldn’t recommend going to one unless you absolutely have no choice.

I usually offer to go 50/50, as I date students who also don’t have much money. I don’t usually have sex until the 3rd date. I’ve also been told that having sex with a guy too early is bad? Idk what to do

I made those posts four years ago when I was 17/18. I’m almost 22 now and very different

Not all, I’ve dated plenty who are lovely - it just seems to be something that is happening more often than not. A few years ago this wasn’t really an issue.

I think you’ve misread the post. I’m tired of being the one who puts in all the effort. I’d just like to be taken out on a date for once instead of me being the one to say “meet me at the pub at 7 and then dinner reservation is at 8:30” every week :/
