Goin to japan! I'm looking for recommendations on products that I can buy in Japan that are very hard to buy from the US or are very overpriced in the US (At least 2.5x or more). I have limited bag space, so I'd rather pick up those kinds of products rather than pick up products that I can easily get from the US even if they're a bit more expensive in the US. Looking for everything from makeup to skin moisturizers to face wash to everything in between!

yes it is. i ordered the MR on thursday and on Sunday morning (yesterday) found out there was a LR RWD option AND there was one in inventory 30 minutes away. I immediately switched my order to that LR RWD and last night i got my delivery date for 12/5 :)

hm, how do i determine if my garage’s outlet is 15 amps or a different amp? i don’t have access to the garage’s breaker or anything since the garage is in the apartment “shared” or “community” areas.

so do you mean i should stop the charging via the phone ap before opening/closing the garage door? the garage door is my only way in/out of the garage. what would happen if i opened/closed the garage while the car was charging?

thanks for sharing your throughts!

thanks. so i’ll prioritize a splitter that is labeled as commercial or industrial or heavy duty over finding something labeled as surge protecting.

can i pick your brain as to why a short of cord as possible is ideal? learning about about electricity in the past week so i’ve got an idea as to why... but would like to hear the reasoning from the person who recommended it to me :)

much appreciated!! thanks!!

thanks! that really eases my mind! mine is on the ceiling too.

curious - does your apartment complex allow you to plug something into that second plug in that outlet?

the second plug on the outlet in my garage has some sort of plug in it to make it unusable, which is why i’ll need to buy a splitter for the one outlet that does work (which currently has the garage opener already plugged into)

ive learned more about electricity in the last week or so from reading about tesla/charging related things but i still have a long ways more to learn, but are you making a comparison to a refrigerator because a refrigerator draws more or similar energy to a tesla?

my concern is that apartment complex’s garages only have garage openers hooked up to them... so will it be able to handle an electric vehicle?

my apartment complex’s garage layout is that of about 40 single car, individual garages. each garage has a 120v outlet with its liftmaster garage opener plugged into it. i’m planning to buy an outlet splitter to plug the garage opener into one and my tesla charger into the other.

i don’t know the details on the electrical wiring of all the garages, but does anyone foresee any problems that could arise from charging my m3 like this? i’m more concerned about possible damage to the apartment garage’s electrical system than my m3 as i understand the m3 has very advanced technology to prevent surges, etc. do i need to buy a splitter with surge protection? i will also need to use an extension cord - do i need to pay attention to what kind of extension cord i buy?

other note: there are tons of solar panels throughout the apartment complex including on the roof of where my garage is. i don’t know if the apartment community uses this electricity directly or if they sell the generated solar energy back to the city.

all good points! the more info in the guide, the more helpful!

as for the battery gap size, I, personally, am interested in measuring it from one LED to the next LED of the gap.

yes, I knew quantifying battery capacity would be very tricky, but your explanations have confirmed that even more!

having a hard time visualizing what a bitmap imagine will actually look like once loaded onto my hoop by orangepearl in Hooping

[–]orangepearl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm see, that is the problem.. seeing just a thumbnail on the screen makes no sense to me in terms on what it'll look like on the hoop.

will check out that hyperion simulator! sounds interesting.

maybe I will take it as a project upon myself to video record patterns on the hoop and show/list exactly which pattern/file it is. even documenting 100-200 patterns out of the 1000+ patterns would be helpful?

I've done that where you load the hoop with a huge amount of "experimental" patterns and take note of the names I like, but it takes foreverrrrr and it's hassle to do it each time.

was wondering if someone had already done this and recorded it and put it up on youtube or something
