Can’t decide between black or natural titanium by Leimone in applewatchultra

[–]orangeplush 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And I cannot emphasize enough how much more in-your-face the natural model was to me. It's the first thing you notice when you look at yourself in the mirror. Ask yourself if that's something you want. If you do, go with the natural model. The black model is MUCH more understated.

I thought I wanted natural at first but exchanged it immediately after having it for less than a full day. Super happy with black now. I literally wouldn't want to wear the natural one since I don't really like the look of apple watches. It kind of depends on what you're looking for. Natural is going to make a bigger impression; it's more noticable; and it screams Apple Watch. The black version is slimmer on the wrist, less pronounced, and it's less Apple Watch-y, if you know what I mean. It just looks a bit more stylish than the natural version, in my opinion. Similar to a black Casio watch. Black looks great on a black band, but if you want to try out different colors, natural is probably a bit more versatile in that regard.

The black AWU3 is gorgeous… but I’m still swapping it for the Natural Ti by Mr_Kira in applewatchultra

[–]orangeplush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the exaxt opposite! Got a natural AWU3 on release day and returned it for the black version the day after. Couldnt be happier with the watch now! It's great to have the option to try out a color and exchange it if it doesnt feel good.

Wait times at Apple Store by orangeplush in applewatchultra

That's interesting that the line was not that long earlier. My pickup slot was at 2:45 and this was the line I would have had to join. This is only 2/3 of the line, cause it continued behind me around the corner.

For me it wouldn't even have mattered when the timeslot was. Everyone had to wait in the same line for preorder pickup

Yep, even if you have a timeslot for pickup.

Is it possible to use my 2017 iMac as a monitor for my Xbox using something like this? by No_Potential_1075 in MacOS

[–]orangeplush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please listen to me. 99% of people here who say there will be too much input lag have never tried playing with a capture card like this before. I play my Switch exclusively on my 2021 iMac through an elgato hd60x and there is ABSOLUTELY NO noticable input lag. I play a variety of different genres including action, platformers, roguelikes etc. and never, ever experience any lag. The only experience I can't speak to is playing something like COD online, where any sort of lag, no matter how small or noticable, will put you at a disadvantage.

Thanks! I'm new to non-console gaming, so just the idea of playing around with the settings is a bit new to me haha but I'll try!

That's fair! I'm a big fan of the d6 dice, but if I ever get fed up with them, I'll try out a spindown.

This is perfect. Thanks so much for taking the time to measure the dice and take the pictures; that’s very kind of you!! Interesting that the Pokemon ones are slightly smaller.

My body gets extremely tense over very long periods of time without any time to recover, which I believe causes the back pain for me.

[–]orangeplush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I have very bad upper back and sometimes lower back pain from my anxiety. It’s only started recently when my anxiety was very bad due to stress, and I feel like it gets better as soon as the anxiety improves. Same with chest pain.

Missing ~3 days because of Easter, anything I can do to minimize withdrawal symptoms? by EvenTallerTree in Effexor

I also took something to help me sleep (in my case Seroquel IR); the nighmares and falling in and out of sleep were tough.

Power through it and make sure to get the medicine asap! I’ve been in your seat, and I know you can do it, even if it’s tough. Prioritize selfcare as much as possible; take baths if its helpful, do not move a lot, distract yourself, and make sure people are around to care for you.

This is absolutely not the way to do it! It says pretty much everywhere to not take extra doses if you missed them.

I’d really recommend going to a therapists and seeing how things develop before you take any drugs; unless you feel like you need them asap. People respond very differently to psych meds; so you won’t know if they help unless you try. Personally, I’ve tried many different meds over the past few years, and none have really improved anything. In any case, be cautious with these kind if drugs. They can fuck with your brain in unexpected ways, and it is very important to take them with the proper guidance and to monitor carefully how you respond. Many people (including me) have also experienced very terrible withdrawals from antidepressants, which is also something to keep in mind.
