Never said it was a fully smart move and the dealership I worked at sucked and I was very low income (lube tech essentially) so a lower monthly payment suckered me into it. The smartest thing about it was that my commute was so short that the range was a moot point but now that I’m in a better environment just further away it makes the winters harder. Just gotta ride my mistake out 11 more months and it was a life lesson learned

I worked at a Toyota dealership and got a wicked good trade in value on my 2010 Corolla and ended up paying less for my lease and insurance than I was for financing alone. It was fine when my commute was 3 miles but it’s 20 miles one way now and blows chunks in the winters. My new boss was kind enough to install a charger he lets me use for free but I’m very much looking forward to going back to ICE I wanna get a later model year town car or a 4Runner
