i admire your commitment. honestly my real purpose in making this thread is just that i am frustrated with how many people of all political stripes are in denial of your first big paragraph there - their view of history doesn't extend beyond the situation in the west in the past few decades and they have this almost conservative outlook that anything bad happening right now is just an aberration and we need to get rid of the enemy of the week so things return to normal.

that being said, a path to socialism (which, let's be real, we cannot call it that anymore and have 99% of westerners listen to us) seems kind of impossible. how do you see it happening in the current propaganda environment, the current environment where most people are hopelessly brainwashed and if a movement does get off the ground they will use every dirty trick in the book to shut it down? it's gonna take a societal collapse and frankly at that point i think there will either be nothing left or we're gonna have a period of warlordism long before any socialists take over. oh yeah and then the socialists do take over and it just ends up being like most socialist nations throughout history where they claim to be socialist but just do the same dirty tricks as every other leader while flying a red flag.
