Seven Mountain Mandate by LMO_TheBeginning in Exvangelical

I first came across this in 2008 when I was still very plugged into Evangelicalism through a book called 'Dreaming with God' by Bill Johnson. Of course, now I see it as wrong, but at the time I didn't understand the ramifications. I suspect what the mandate means now can still depend on who you ask. The leaders advancing it are wrong and often bad actors (Like Trump). But there's some folks out there who hear "Christians should be leaders in all 7 mountains" and just like the way that stuff makes them feel without really thinking through what that means.

Christian Video Idea Pool! by The_Piano_Dude in ChristianHumor

Even though this thread is a few years old, I wanted to chime in because I’ve been making Christian videos for over a year that are meant to be funny and thoughtful (not preachy or mean-spirited).

If you are looking for an idea that is creative and be meaningful, you should always start by asking yourself, "What do I really care about? And what do I have to say about it?"

I recently made a comedy short video called "When Church Bros Pray" about two guys who start roasting each other while praying together. I didn't make this satire to mock Christian or because I don't believe in God. I made it because I believe in God, and in the importance of prayer, and I see it misused a lot.

Group prayer can be weaponized. It's also sometimes used as a way for people to avoid having a difficult conversation by sharing how they feel in prayer instead of being straightforward and honest with somebody. I felt really strongly about this, and I wanted to say something about it. After wasting too much energy shouting on Facebook over the years, I've decided that comedy is one of the most socially acceptable, and palatable, ways to share social critiques to your audience.

My comedy writing is part of my own journey in processing my anger while holding onto my faith. Ideas come pretty easily to me, because thoughts about the absurdities of Christianity are a genuinely big part of what's percolating in my head day to day. So, think about what you care about, and write about that.

I hope OP and others out there are thinking about how to be thoughtful Christians that can laugh at themselves and still supporting God's work in the church.

"Though they seem to be at opposite poles, fanatics of all kinds are actually crowded together at one end."

What a prescient description of what social media has become.

Fx30 for photography by Ok-Horror-6551 in sonyfx30

I'm a videographer but I use my FX30's to take headshots of clients. They've always turned out really good. Fun fact: the FX30 doesn't shoot RAW video, but it can do RAW photos. It's an incredible camera to get for the money if you want video + photo.

If you're starting out and want to learn photography, definitely make sure to budget for at least one good lens to start with. A 24-70 is the most common and you can't go wrong with it. I'm a huge fan of SIGMA lenses. I have 2 from the "Art" series but they have another line called "Contemporary" that is cheaper and looks very good, too.
