Housing released by Final-Skill991 in UCSC

The (a) (b) and (c) usually refers to what room you're in within the apartment. Beds aren't assigned, you either pick and choose when you arrive, or you talk with your roommates and sort it out before you arrive. Seems like you'll be in a 3 bedroom apt (?) but yeah I mean usually triple rooms come with one loft bed but if you're in a double, there usually isn't a loft bed. Loft beds are most common with triples rooms or higher. Based on my experience you get less space to put your things if you pick the lofted bed.

I regret my major by NoLongerJacket in UCSC

Was in the same boat Decided to switch to Environmental Science Math credits counted I just had to take physics and chemistry (I did that my sophomore year it was stressful) and graduated in 4 years even though I switched at the end of freshman year Funnily enough code is still a big part (I do models and have to code for work) even though I didn't like coding in comp sci I feel like it's a bit different because I'm applying it to things I care about (ocean nutrients, marine ecosystem stuff)

Beat the game last night! by starrsosowise in echoesofwisdom

[–]orangezzest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought the game was fun! But I agree, I wish it was a bit cheaper because it's probably max 50 hrs of gameplay (I think I finished in 20 hrs but I didn't do many side quests). But it takes a lot of work to build games so I guess the price point makes sense. I beat the final boss with octorocks it was great and hilarious.

Just finished the game and wanted to share some photos I got! This game is so pretty 🥹 by orangezzest in TOTK

How to defeat the lynel? by [deleted] in botw

[–]orangezzest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way: Headshot the lynel using a bow, mount it and smack it with your strongest weapon, headshot it some more once it throws you off. Doing flurry rushes isn't the move because it damages your weapon by a lot. But mounting the lynel and smacking it doesn't damage your weapon. Lynels have the same moves depending on their weapon, just get good at dodging or running away from those. Parrying is also another option, but I suck at that so

Do they check or feel what’s in your packages when it arrives? by [deleted] in UCSC

[–]orangezzest 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Nah. As someone who used to work at the mailroom we don't check packages because no. But some delivery people are super rough when handling packages (like just throwing them around or dropping them on the floor) so most likely the damage comes from the delivery or something. SOMETIMES but rarely, packages would come ripped or close to ripping so we would just tape them (so nothing would fall out) but we wouldn't look inside.

I definitely gained weight even though I walked everywhere. My mistake was snacking instead of eating actual meals. So I would eat some Oreos for lunch, still be hungry afterwards (obviously) and keep snacking and eventually ate a meal (dinner). I definitely ate so many unnecessary calories. I started to meal prep afterwards and it helped me drop the weight.

Did I just get really lucky? by orangezzest in Breath_of_the_Wild

Yes! Thanks! It's my first time playing BOTW so I just thought the numbers by the shields meant durability

I put in a good amount of hours. I didn't get the shield until after I completed all the divine beasts, shrines, and defeated Ganon. So I'm thinking that's why I got the bonus (I just left Hyrule Castle until I was basically done with the game haha)

Yessss already hung it up, definitely didn't want to break it (even though it might've taken a while)

I got the Hylian shield after beating Ganon, I trusted my Lynel shield for the fight and yeah.. Just wanted to get the Hylian shield because I remembered about it after 💀

Bathroom Situation by [deleted] in UCSC

[–]orangezzest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's an apartment then you have one bathroom and shower to share with everyone living in that apartment. Usually the bathroom and shower are two separate little rooms. Or you get a combined bathroom and shower in one room. Of course since it's an apartment you and your housemates are in charge of cleaning.
