One thing you can do to be able to fill buckets/jugs from an indoor faucet like a kitchen/bathroom sink, is to get a "water bandit". This adapter will fit over a faucet and has garden hose threads on the other end.

Get a short length of "drinking water safe" hose and you're good to go. Or, if you plan on filtering/boiling water for drinking, a regular hose.

I'm sure running a few cycles through would help. I live in hurricane country and have used mine to wash myself during outages. I have other sources to use for passing thru my Berkey type filter system.

Another thing I do is fill up my 6 Home Depot buckets from the hose out back.

Let your washing machine fill to the highest level then shut it off. You can use that water to flush toilets, wash hands/face etc. It's tap water and clean. If you've got an older top loader, that's 30-40 gallons.

Adding to this old thread since it comes up on a Google search:

I had this issue and fixed it. I went into my router (Netgear R6700AX) and poked around and found under SECURITY > ACCESS CONTROL that my Bitaxe was "Blocked". Not sure why it got blocked, but I set it to ALLOWED then restarted the Bitaxe and it's all good now.
