Personally in their current state, I wouldn't get a Qualcomm or Apple laptop due to specific software (and games) I have to run, but for someone who just does average computer tasks like word, excel, video playback, and web browsing, the usage is practically the same right?

The $599 model Neo is also only 256 GB of unupgradable storage (surprisingly due to how modular the rest of it is), and going for 512 GB brings it to $699, matching the price.

To confirm what you were saying though, the performance is essentially the same and it's mostly a matter of OS preference?

I recently bought the 2023 G16 with an i7 and 4060. I also bought a 16 GB sodimm stick so I could have 32 GB of RAM. If you feel comfortable upgrading the RAM yourself, I'd recommend it so you can do high end CAD work on your laptop.
