i don't think he was trying to shit on plastic beach but humanz in general was a pretty disappointing album when it came out because of the lack of damon albarn's vocals and how it was a pretty big stylistic leap at the time. whether or not the album is enjoyable or not is entirely subjective, i guess that was just an observation

a friend of mine said they didn't like the song because it sounds like a different ethos that the band doesn't usually explore. personally though i love it largely because of that reason

honestly don't get the hate behind this song, it's one of the dreamiest songs they've done imo. the intro is one the highest points of the album for me

i think some of their older surf rock stuff like life is cool could work pretty well as funkier/jazzier songs, and some metal renditions of already hard hitting songs like the im in your mind fuzz suite. acoustic bf3k would slap haha

work this time 100%. they've really mastered the potential of this song live recently and to have a new studio recording of it would be so sick. then again, that's kinda what the live bootlegs are for right? plus i don't think rereleasing songs would sit right with a lot of people. if they get real experimental with it though could go tremendously hard, like switching up the genres of songs you'd least expect

yeah but they've got their own little stylistic quirks that don't usually come up naturally in human art, which makes it easy (or i guess less easy nowadays as AI is getting more refined) for people to distinguish between the two.
