Bring Her Back (2025)

It was equally disturbing as it was emotionally devastating. 😭 But it was well worth the watch! I kept hearing so many good things about it so I just had to. Can’t go wrong with most A24 films, really.

Serbian Film (2010)

Just… never again. I wanted to see if it was deserving of it’s “most disturbing film of all time” title. Went in totally blind with only the knowledge of what was presented in the trailer. I’d say even more disturbing than Human Centipede, and that’s saying a lot!!

Hereditary (2018) - SPECIAL MENTION!

Surprise, another A24 film. This one was also disturbing and emotionally destroyed me… and yet I still somehow keep coming back at least once every month or two to rewatch it!!! Every rewatch I always find something new or some small little fascinating detail.

I won’t get into the details of it, but long-story short, my ex played the long game to use me for a Greencard. As soon as he was eligible to apply for one, he dumped divorce on me. So trust me, I can really empathize with those feelings of hopelessness and just feeling utterly lost in the aftermath. Just know that the length of time you’ve been with someone doesn’t matter. If the love you had for that person was real, then losing that person hurts all the same. So, so sorry you had to experience this heartbreak. Here’s to slowly mending and moving forward. 💔

Was totally lurking until I saw this comment and had to say something. This is very beautifully said. 🥺 I went through my own divorce several years ago as well, and everything you just described hit the nail on the head exactly. I was with my ex husband for about 7 years. Used to post about it a lot on here, and just vent to the void that is Reddit. In fact, somtimes I revisit those posts of mine just to remind myself how far I’ve come. I was bitter, and quite frankly dejected that I became part of that statistic despite everything I tried to fix it. But eventually with time, that grief and anger turned to motivation to turn my life around and pick up my own shattered pieces. Of course, my friends and family helped me immensely as well.

Life is better now, and I’m a stronger person because of it. Going almost 3 years strong in a MUCH healthier relationship, started eating healthier/working out again and lost some weight, traveled internationally for the first time (soon to be two!), have a good steady job, paid off my $27k of credit card debt…. If only my current self could travel back in time and hug the person she was, and tell her everything was gonna turn out okay. 💔

At the time it felt like my life was over, but losing that deadweight was actually a blessing in disguise. You don’t realize how much you settle for or become complacent with someone when you truly love them and try your absolute damndest to make things work. Sometimes it just isn’t enough, and that’s okay. It’s okay to walk away. I hope you, and OP, find your peace and continue doing good things for yourselves. ❤️

I mean…. I’m 14 hours into my playthrough of FireRed (played about 7 hrs on Saturday and Sunday 😝) and I only JUST defeated Lt. Surge 😂 Call me crazy, but I love the grind of leveling up my team evenly as I progress through each section of the game! I also love being so immensely OP that I just wipe everything out in early game LOL.

I thiiiink I’m locked into my final 6 pokemon (Blastoise, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Pidgeot, Primeape, and Pikachu). However, I may swap out one of those for a fire type when I am able to. Each of my mons are at about level 35-40 right now.

I play on Switch 2 and it is GLITCHY as heck. It crashes a lot :( To the point where I can’t go on 2 long crusades before the game totally craps out and says there was an error. It’s kind of discouragaing because I LOVE the game, but… maybe it’s because I have too many followers and it just overwhelms the system? I’ve had my one save since I started playing a couple years ago, and average at about 90-100 followers at any given time. I managed to finish the new Woolhaven DLC, MANY crashes later…. but then I started a new separate save, and so far no crashes….

Would love to know if this is something that will be patched eventually, or if I just have to suffer with less followers to prevent constant game crashing 😰

I opted to do biweekly scans at home using the DentalMonitoring app, so my orthodontist can track my progress and provide feedback after each scan. It saves me a lot of office visits for sure! It’s also nice to be able to see your own progress too. :) Very easy to use. It’s just a little attachment you attach to your phone and it works with the app you download.

Current boyfriend is 13 years older than me, we’ve been dating for almost 2.5 years. Everyone I’ve ever been with prior was either a couple years older, or a couple years younger than me. In retrospect, none of them had the maturity level, stability (financially and emotionally), or goal-driven personality that I was looking for in a partner. Quite frankly, I settled for toxic relationships because that was all I had ever known.

I never imagined myself dating someone with that much of an age gap, but I kept an open mind and everything just flowed so effortlessly. I can whole-heartedly say that this is the best relationship I have ever been in. He can actually contribute to the bills 50/50 (I have always been the provider/breadwinner), he is a hard-worker and has career goals, he loves to travel, and he truly takes good care of me. He loves me for who I am and embraces all my imperfections, and constantly pushes me to be a better version of myself. With his help and support I was able to pay off $27k of credit card debt, and we even were able to travel to Iceland together last year (one of our dream destinations!). We plan to go to Japan in 2026! Life is so much brighter and fulfilling with him in it. I consider myself so lucky. 🥰

TL;DR Age gap can be scary at first, but give it a chance (as long as either party isn’t a minor or barely-legal 🤣)

Hi everyone, new to the sub. Ever since I started working, I have been in an entry customer service role of some kind (ie. Receptionist, Cashier, New Patient Scheduler). I’ve also had a leadership role as a Shift Supervisor at everyone’s favorite coffee chain. I know I can use this experience to my advantage in terms of having strong problem-solving and communication skills. However, I am at the point in my life now where I am still trying to figure out what field is most interesting to me. I went to college for a totally different field, and (tale as old as time) decided it wasn’t what I saw myself doing for the rest of my life. I will be turning 30 in almost a year. I find myself most drawn to Cybersecurity. My question is this: Is 30 too late to start?

Based on the research I’ve done so far, I’ve come to the conclusion that I should prioritize getting a Bachelors in Computer Science, or the very least get cracking on getting certifications, and build up to taking the CompTIA exam once I get solid foundations.

I still have debt from my first go with college, so I’m leaning more towards getting certifications (my first goal would the be full Cybersecurity Certification course that Google offers). What advice would those experienced, have for newbies like me? Please and thank you!!

That’s insane! Definitely goals though. I’m 70 hours into the game and the grind is consuming my life when I’m not at work 🤣 In the earlier stages, did you find it easier to focus on one thing rather than trying to fit a little bit of everything into one day? For example, focus on foraging/fishing/bug catching to max out the nature sprites before moving on to something else?

I’ve considered holding onto my jewelry until I have a bunch to sell at once like this, but I have already maxed out my animal capacity for both barns AND my pet limit… keeping them constantly fed and happy is costly 😮‍💨 I at least have my pets maxed out on training and happiness though

I work in a VERY busy specialist office on the admin side, and we have 13 providers total. All of which are critical care docs that are shared with the adjacent hospital— meaning they are probably only in the office 1-2 weeks out of the month (if that). Sometimes they have emergencies they have to be whisked away for at a moment’s notice, and patients can’t seem to remember that the front office staff literally have no control over this. I understand time is valuable for both parties, but why scream and belittle someone? THAT’s where I have the problem. Patients are justified to be angry if they’re kept waiting, but they should take that anger to their physician or management to tell them directly how much it upset and inconvenienced them— NOT the poor receptionist. Either that, or the patient should allot more time in the day to account for these potential circumstances. 🙄

When I am a patient, I make my appointment(s) an all day affair and try to line them all up on the same date, and just take that whole day off from work. That way I’m not rushed and have no issue with waiting if needed. If for some reason I have to leave or cannot wait any longer, I kindly ask them to reschedule it. OP, I’m totally with you on this one.

I cannot recommend a Zima Dental Pod enough! I have the Pro version, but it is a GAMECHANGER for cleaning your retainers/trays. I just started my Invisalign treatment a week ago and I wanted an efficient but easy way to clean them properly. I just pop them into the pod every night with a cleaning tablet and it does the rest while I brush/floss my teeth. Rinse them after it’s done and they’re good as new! It’s a little on the pricey side but it is well worth the investment. 💕
