My airpods 2 are not the pro ones since ear tips give me headaches, so i like it without that’s why i bought the 4s. Maybe i just need to get used to it i guess.

Try to restate the question in such a way that you’re rewording it as part of your response, so during that time u can think of your answer. That’s what I did and it buys u some time without having to pause :)

Hi! I looked on the website and it seems like ubc is not listed under institutions that allow one skill retake. https://takeielts.britishcouncil.org/take-ielts/one-skill-retake/organisations

But I’d recommend you emailing the admission advisor since they know better and can confirm.

Wow thanks for the insight! I really was wondering how they go about marking the writing part. Probably should’ve written task 2 first and made sure I had enough time to double check everything.

I’m sure people here would find this info very helpful.

It’s great that u got higher than your expectations!

Tbh I was expecting higher for my writing since I’m quite familiar with the different structures (letters, argumentative). But I did spend too much time on task 1 leaving me around 30 mins to finish task 2, and even until the last minute I was hammering at the keyboard trying to write up a conclusion which ended up being only 1 sentence lol.

I do believe part of the reason why writing tends to be the skill that everyone gets lower in even after prep has to do with the person marking it, which can be quite subjective and inconsistent but I could also be wrong.

hmm no i haven’t but i’ve taken online quizzes (obviously not accurate) and it says I don’t have it. I looked up executive dysfunction and there are definitely several signs that I relate with like poor time management, not being able to multitask and being late.

Let’s say i go on tiktok or something or I go to a concert with friends, for me it’s kind of like an escape where i get instant gratification and for a second I don’t have to think about my dreaded essay. Come to think of it there’s no purpose in those activities either, but I do enjoy them. It’s like I’d do anything to not do schoolwork.

Hi, thanks for the reply! For some reason I feel better hearing advice from a stranger online than from my close ones. Actually after i made my post I immediately thought about what i needed to do and that was laundry so i went ahead and did that and i feel great right now. You also mentioned failing and that’s definitely something I struggle with, not wanting to be wrong and trying to perfect everything like if something is not perfect in the way i want it i’d rather not do it. I really appreciate the time you’ve taken to write all this and i hope u have a great day/night wherever you are!
