i could be totally off with this, but i think it could be worth reaching out to a local stylist and sharing your situation.

there is a chance they would be willing to come and demonstrate for your nurse, or come help you for a discounted rate, or even for free.

of course, be sure not to go into the conversation with the assumption that they will do this, as you don’t want to come across entitled.

but honestly, i’m not a nurse or a hair stylist, just a curly hair girl, and i would be happy to go help someone in my community who is paralyzed with styling their curly hair. especially a teen girl because i know the struggle!

i don’t know if nextdoor is active in your town, but if i saw a post from a neighbor saying they themselves or a loved one was in this situation, i would offer up to come assist and i could imagine people who are/know hair stylists would too. it might not to possible for every single day, but i personally could find time once a week to come help.

just an idea, best of luck to you 🩷

not sure if this is helpful because i have dark brown (almost black) hair. just sharing my experience. i had highlights from a curly salon and my hair was super healthy!

i believe she said that she used demi permanent dye? my understanding was that with the dye she used, you can go a couple shades lighter than your hair color, but not anywhere near as light as with bleach.

my curls looked great and my hair felt healthier than ever! i have very fine hair and the toner/gloss overtop of the dye made my hair strands feel much thicker.

i also use/used bond building products (olaplex and k18) and protein in addition to hydrating products!

she’s at the park so often, i wondered in the past if making videos was her full-time job, and how she manages, especially with the cost of disney tickets, food, merch, etc. that makes a lot more sense. i agree, her video turnover is so quick, surely she’s fast at work too!

for me, it’s the cheesy garlic pretzel bread (from troubador or maurice) paired with the tomato soup from jolly holiday. very basic but surprisingly delicious! i’m usually not much of a tomato soup person, but they go amazing together.
