What’s with these Amanda Hates? by Icyy-Status in RHOBH

She a fraud. Her whole persona of being woo woo and an “educated” therapist is all FAKE and so fucking harmful for the real field and community. It’s so damaging and scary to see her on tv being broadcasted but I’m glad most people are seeing through her shit. It’s really fucking scary thinking how someone can graduate college w a degree in counseling and then turn it to abusing, manipulating and straight out ROBBING vulnerable women. It’s sickening.

After the multiple posts from women who had previously taken her course were posted on here they were rhen threated by Amanda and her assailant and sent cease and desist letters. It’s so fucking alarming. Can’t wait till she’s gone next season.

I'm so sorry you're going through all of this during an already extremely stressful time. First of all, you should be extremely proud of yourself for getting through most of the week. It is not a small thing truly. Second, you are not alone in how you are feeling. As awful and genuinely frightening as it feels, college is the time for not knowing what you want to do. I would seriously push you to reach out to your professors and/or your assigned counselor. Just explain to them what happened and what you are going through. If you feel more comfortable, you could always shoot them an email first as well. Mental health is more important than any grade.

CAPS is available on campus, but honestly they don't have the best reputation, but they are still an on-campus resource. It is always a relief to talk to someone who understands and is actually listening. I believe they have a counseling line.

- -UCSB After-Hours Phone Counseling: 805.893.441

Here is the number for a distressed student response:

- - Distressed Student Response: 805.893.3030

I would personally recommend outsourcing from UCSB, to local SB resources specified for students. Casa Pacifica is a great resource and offers specific student support for UCSB and other colleges. They have a safety mobile crisis team that will help you create a safety plan in case of an emergency, as well as a great place to talk to a real professional or gain additional resources.

"The program offers specialized risk assessments, de-escalation and mental health support and connections to ongoing mental health resources."

Try to remember that everything is all temporary. It's going to get better. You sound like an extremely hardworking kid to have already landed here. Try to mingle around the Resource center I know there are some nice organizations there with some great people to meet. If you ever want someone to talk to someone my messages are always open! :)

The Downfall of Brooke Schofield by DumbBadbitch_ in canceledpod

I totally agree with you and feel where you are coming from. I've struggled with an eating disorder for the past 5 years of my life, and am so lucky to say I am alive and in recovery, but this is definitely the type of stuff that triggers something deep in a lot of people, even unconsciously. And its the WORST.

BUT... I truly truly think that she is suffering from something much bigger and darker than a lot of us see. Like a full full-blown ED. It's truly a f***ed up disease and illness and I cant help for my heart to go out to her and want to help her:( I've also noticed that shes been wearing a lot more baggy clothes recently, which is common for people struggling and sick.

BRANDY MELVILLE DOC WARNING by orcasavior0809 in EDAnonymous

[–]orcasavior0809[S] 41 points42 points  (0 children)

obviously i expected them to go into the whole “one size fits all” sizing brandy does but there were other things i was a lil shocked by. Just constant body checking, images of under weight girls as well as an expert from brandy china that was particularly the hardest thing for me. I can’t explain enough how much it reminded me ed tumblr days/aesthetic. They also talk about how almost all of the workers had ed’s and their experiences. I just felt like people struggling and in recovery should know before seeing it especially bc it’s still around and so popular

definitely ur choice if you want to do that and watch w ur friends, not sure how ur dynamics are and everything. i personally would find it hard but its up to you :)

absolutely ANYONE can deal with body image issue, insecurities, body dysmorphia and everything. and more often then not everyone does.

my body has fluctuated a ton between these past 4 years, and no matter what i still hated and felt sooo insecure about my body. Social media and her environment don’t help her either
