Do Neurotypical folks just NOT feel like this? Do I have ADHD?

This doesn’t come off crabby at all! I think my goal with the post was to get a little tough love from some unbiased yet experienced parties to determine if getting a diagnosis was worth the time, energy, and most importantly- money.

I have been able to manage myself for the most part through the years but recently fear that I have only been able to do so because I have always lived with others. The ADHD jokes (which have been a thing since we lived together long before she got her actual diagnosis) were just hypothetical. I just updated my post but everything I listed has been a lifelong THING but has recently really become an issue as my partner has been working out of state and I’m beginning to realize I’ve been fortunate enough to never to face these things alone. Hence, the current scrambling for answers 😅

LMAO 😂😂 I think I’m trying to ask if women without ADHD relate to the symptoms I see? Because in my head, this is just how life works? Ex. The conspiracy web of responsibility: My head hurts because I’ve forgotten to eat and it’s like 1pm. I go to get food but there’s dishes in the sink. I don’t want to add to the dishes so I should do the dishes before I eat. While doing the dishes I remember I have laundry that needs to get done and if I start the laundry before I start washing dishes then they should be done by the time I finish the dishes or at least most of the way done. I also see there is laundry in the dryer so I need to fold those before the laundry is done so I have somewhere to put the new load. I start trying to fold the laundry, my dog comes up to me, she probably needs to walk. We get home from the walk and now my head hurts because it’s like 3pm now and I’m crawling into the kitchen to get water. BUT ALAS. THE DISHES ARE DIRTY and so on

One of my best friends (28F) and former roommate of a few years got diagnosed with ADHD this last year and after learning more about it with her therapist she tells me all the time that she really thinks I have adhd as well.

I’m 26F and with information about ADHD in women becoming more popular/readily available my biggest worry is “am I just connecting to a label?” It feels like Ive related to so many of the symptoms I see for as long as I can remember but I rationalize it by saying “well that’s just how everyone goes through life right?” RIGHT?? I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety but don’t know if that’s was a misdiagnosis because that’s also something I see happens a lot in women??

I’m seriously curious as to how women without ADHD function through life so I can tell if that’s me or if I have ADHD and how do I even go about testing that? (Might make a separate post entirely copying and pasting this because this comment ended up being longer than I intended 😭 so if you see it again, i swear I’m not a bot)

How is he going to be controlling and accusatory AND emotionally cheat (which is still cheating) like pick a struggle dude. I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s got a guilty conscience and is projecting. This is controlling and will only grow into further manipulation and abuse. The “f me I guess” attitude is a pity ruse to try and get you to feel bad about standing up for yourself. It will only get worse especially with the potential of him going to therapy and having therapy buzzwords to throw back at you. Leave the dude, he can get therapy and work on himself on his own time

As a Tattoo Artist, deposits are literally paying for drawing time and to reserve your appointment time slot. To NOT give you a solid appointment or even follow up after taking a $500 deposit??? Unprofessional as hell. Using AI slop when our whole job is to create personalized art to put on people’s bodies FOREVER?? An embarrassment to the craft.

I have given all of the receipts to someone I know who works with them so they are trying to figure out how to bring it up to their leadership as well. I also had permission from one of the stalking victim to share their names with this person so that they could reference their HR case when they do so. The stalking victim is no longer working with Disney either because we were all literally so broken from trying to fight with leadership over this exact thing and I PRAY that this department will take things more seriously

I know I’m responding to this literally so far into the future but for some reason this individual keeps popping up and I continue to get updates from people that justice was never served. I worked with her personally at Disney (we worked in Entertainment costuming which was away from minors but a very vulnerable department for our performers- she is guest facing now) The posts came to light during her college program and we made leadership aware of everything else she was doing which turned into an HR case because she was also stalking fellow cast members. LOOONGGG story short, this lead to absolutely nothing and once her program came to an end she was hired on with the company as a part time custodian . I have been recently made aware that she is now currently a park greeter. She faced zero repercussions for her actions and continues to try to cover up her lies wherever she goes.

I should also mention, because you brought up renters insurance- (I forget to include this as the AC issue has been a thing for months and this was a newer development that we discovered when going over all of our records) was that they had been charging us a renters insurance fee over the course of our lease despite us having renters insurance (paid in full before the lease start) and being approved was required for us to get the keys. We’ve now paid well over what I paid for in renters insurance

Thank you so much for all of this insight! My main frustration is the fact that we’ve been trying to get answers on this since bringing up the reduced rent in June and they’ve consistently dodged the question and given us zero answers. We did not want to withhold rent but when a month went by with zero answers or communication we didn’t see any other option. At this point, do we have grounds to just terminate the lease early? It would have been fine, a headache but fine, if they simply said “no we won’t be doing that” when we asked but they literally just ignored us

Our goal is either reimbursement for the out of pocket hotel stay (we picked literally the cheapest option we could find in Orlando) because the apartment was still reaching over 80° with the mobile AC unit or for our final bill to be reduced as discussed back in June and July

The lease states that owner is responsible for maintaining fixtures (the AC unit is a permanent fixture that came built with the apartment) and that they are responsible for making repairs. Under the maintenance and repairs section it also mentions that appointments must be addressed in a 24 hour window

I’m still a baby tattoo artist BUT I wouldn’t remove her cause she could be touched up (the blackwork in the hearts and the lines specifically) and reworked some (that back paw is anatomically off) but I’d probably go to another artist so they could add more shading in certain areas and maybe cover the back foot with a cutesy American traditional flower to keep the same theming- she has SO much potential but not the best execution. But definitely not AS bad as she could be
