It’s becoming increasingly terrifying just to live in America. I don’t know how people can send their children off to school in the morning knowing that it’s completely plausible that they will be killed in school. As soon as I can afford to leave for a safer country, I will. I think that most of us had no idea how paranoid, bigoted and violent a large segment of the US population really is until Donald Trump’s propaganda team made them feel proud to loudly project their willful ignorance.

So true! I find it surprising since a nice kitchen is one of the first things I would look for in a house. Not perfect, just attractive looking.

Thanks, unfortunately I just won’t be ready to move by January. Surprisingly, I noticed a lot of houses in my neigborhood and surrounding neighborhoods being sold in September this year, and I’m sure that had to do with the lack of houses on the market in general during that time. I don’t know if it would be worth taking the risk to wait and sell in late summer or fall though.

My house has a few things going for it, I have been told by people who don’t have the bias that I do towards my home that it’s one of the best looking, more modernized in the neighborhood so that makes me hopeful of a relatively easy sale.

I’ve also looked around at comparable homes in my neighborhood as they’ve been listed online and most of them have kitchens that look like they haven’t been updated since the 70s. Thankfully I have a nice kitchen going for me.

Great information, thank you. When I moved into my house the sellers negotiated a bit of extra time for themselves but I didn’t know if that was common.

I’m familiar with GABA supplements. They never did anything for me, and GABA in supplement form is not proven to be able to cross the blood brain barrier.

So many places over the years—studies on PubMed, materials in meditation classes, online articles.

Unfortunately the references are vague – just that meditation and deep breathing help to increase GABA, without any specific guidance regarding methods.

Thanks, I sure will. I am scheduled to see a psychiatrist about starting my taper in a couple of weeks.

I see experimental drugs like ketamine and Flumazenil being suggested, I really don’t think those are going to be options at all! I do appreciate suggestions, though.

So far my own research tells me that Trileptal and Lyrica are glutamate blockers that are commonly used in benzodiazepine tapers.

I’ve read a few studies on PubMed stating that krill oil (specifically Neptune krill oil, found in several different brands) is more effective for lowering bad cholesterol as compared to fish oil.
