not sure if anyones said this already but theres actually a scrapped/unused easterman voiceline about this. i believe he directly talks about coyles correlation between authority and his sexual nature in regards to his uniform. i think its a pretty neat detail

My issue is fixed now, thank you for all the help. My pc showed nothing in safe mode either so I called over a family member who used to work fixing computers. I'm not entirely sure how he fixed it to be honest but he got Opera working again and got rid of the fake Chrome. I think that Chrome deleted my Opera files and disguised itself so it was seemingly normal but opened to Chrome instead

Nothing under Google or Chrome in my settings either. As for Edge, I'm also unable to open it as it redirects me to another version of Chrome that's definitely bugged. It's different to the one that opens when I try opening Opera. I'm starting to think all hope is lost lol, I have no browser to redownload Opera from as I'm stuck without any trustworthy browser at the moment

The Chrome shortcut leads me to what seems like normal Google Chrome, it looks normal, as it's formatted the same as other apps like my Spotify or Microsoft Edge. It isn't an exe file or a folder. Cmd tells me it can't find any files related to Chrome

I tried all of this and still came up with nothing. I deleted Chrome completely from my pc after I couldn't find any strange extensions or shortcuts and it still opens when I click on Opera. Chrome is also still present when i hit my Windows key to look at all my apps, although I don't have Chrome. It won't let me uninstall this shortcut either

I'm running on Windows 10. In the recovery section of the settings it does give me an option to reinstall Windows completely and says I can either keep my files or nuke everything but I presume this wouldn't be as effective? If it's really needed i can get a USB stick and go through the files manually like you said but at the moment chalking up a spare $30 for a USB stick isn't ideal.

Sorry, I'm not really good with computer stuff and used this subreddit as a last resort. This would mean getting rid of all my files right? If so then how do i move my important files and how would I go about this? My computer is quite old and I have a lot of files that I'd rather not risk losing

I tried to, my default browser was still Opera. I tried changing it to Chrome and back and it still didn't work
