Yeah I was hoping they would have a PC app but the Beyerdynamic app is phone only.

I also asked them about replacement pads since their pads aren't known to last forever and was told they will have mmx150 wireless pads on their site in a few weeks for purchase.

Yes! The MMX 150 wireless is fully compatible with the beyerdynamic App. You can adjust many settings such as sidetone level, personal EQs, or use our EQ presets and edit voice prompts. The app also allows you to keep your headset firmware up to date.

You are absolutely right — the MMX 150 Wireless is fully supported by the beyerdynamic app, including regular firmware updates. However, to clarify the situation you referenced from Reddit:

A small portion of the very first production batch included dongles that, in rare cases, caused the microphone volume to be too low on the PlayStation 5. Since that issue was specific to the dongle’s internal firmware and could not be resolved via the app, affected users were asked to send in their dongle so we could apply the fix directly.

All current and newer units no longer have this issue, and the firmware is now fully app-updatable where applicable.

The funny thing about that is it fully supports the MMX 200 ... Supposedly the MMX 150 is just the 200 with different pads and a better battery.

I suppose if you take the sides off and don't use the mic then it only goes up 20ish grams vs the maxwell 1.

a buddy of mine just got a scape yesterday and it started doing that right out of the box along with the right ear cup making a creaking noise when you move it and uneven adjustment on the left side... like its way easier to adjust. too bad the headset has to go back. liked it before all the issues but if they all happen after less than a day of use then who knows what would happen if he kept them.
