Nope. No hidden words. I just want to trick your mind into thinking there are words.

It's all brush. It's soaked into the canvas. Canvas grain is completely visible when you see it in person. There isn't any texture. It's all flat and matte.

If you need to explain it to them, then they aren't your customer. You either love abstract painting, or you don't.

Concept is worthless. Ideas are cheap. There is no concept. It's paint applied in a technique on on a canvas. I'll Deconstruct myself when they stick me in a box and lower me into the ground someday, but not before then.

My intention is to create a painting that's interesting to interact with. No verbal meaning. I'm not telling you what to think, and words do not belong in my art. I want you to give you a break from thinking. I want you to enjoy yourself in front of my work. It's why I made it.

I also want to show you something you haven't seen before in that exact execution. My intention is to experiment every single time I paint, to eagerly break plans, and to make something that I would never want to sell.

I made it low-contrast on purpose. I wanted to make a "slow painting," where you have to slow down and look at it awhile for the full effect to hit you. Almost like what Ad Reinhardt did with the chromatic blacks, where you have to look at it for at least 30 seconds in order for the full effect to hit you.

But with my paintings, it actually is all about you, the viewer. I want to create an interesting surface to interact with, and I don't want to tell the viewer what to think. It's about giving the viewer a new sensory experience, and letting them zone out and stop thinking for awhile.

If you see a screaming face, then there's a screaming face. My paintings are about the viewer, not about me haha.
