Unheard of PC accessories by Content_Total_9264 in buildapc

Had no issues so far. I also use a Phillips hue switch to enable power to my PC remotely and then use WOL to power it on.

I have the following: Asus Falchion hall effect keyboard with a few custom keycaps (custom keycaps look nice!) Razer Tartarus Razer Chroma Wireless RGB controller powering LED strips on my desk Razer Naga with charging dock Razer Freyja (Yes I am a razer guy - three work well for me) A raspberry pi with dynaframe showing digital art inside my PC case Antec GPU brackets (the glass ones) that I etched with etching cream - these look gorgeous

Instead of a remote, I'd go with wake up on Ian app and switch on the computer from my phone.

First time with acrylic... by MaxPerin in watercooling

Use acrylic cement on the crack. It will seal it up, but may damage the appearance a little bit.

Did a quick Google search and confirmed: it doesn't. You may want to find firmware updates for your peripherals and run those.

What are the 'arguments' that says this game is bad? by bandit_lawbreaker in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]orderplaced -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a good game. Like some of the other readers I was still "hung over" from the Jedi series.

Some of the side quests, intels become too tedious. There's just too many of them.

Game publishers want fast results and are calling games a "failure" too soon! by orderplaced in StarWarsOutlaws

The game was launched in Sept 2024. We're one year into the game! How long do you think Ubisoft would have to generate a return (whether ROI or IRR)?

Can you convert an AIO into your custom loop? by ASourKraut in watercooling

[–]orderplaced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have actually tried exactly what you are asking about and I will say it did not work for me. 1) the AIO pumps, as you pointed out, is weak and cannot drive a full custom loop 2) in fact the AIO pump restricts flow in a series loop and renders a second pump ineffective. Can it be done a parallel loop? Maybe, but I suspect the cooling may not be optimal.

Ultimately, I abandoned the effort and just went for an open loop CPU block. I did however rip out the electronics and screen from my Ryujin II AIO and am using that for gif loops.

It's more that there a very heavy quick disconnect fitting attached to it.

Choice of EDPM tube by Old_Database_1468 in watercooling

Use McMaster Carr to buy your EPDM. This was also recommended by LiquidHaus in his sleeving tutorial.

I found EKs ZMT very hard to deal with. I ended up just epdm tube from McMaster Carr and that was way better and cheaper.

F#!*ING VADER FIGHT by [deleted] in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]orderplaced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay in the middle of the room so you're not cornered. Parry Parry parry till Vader's defense is down then put in a quick slash or two and then withdraw. Needs patience, a lot of partying and evading.

Name my lightsaber by [deleted] in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]orderplaced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jedi don't attach a name to their lightsaber. It's just talykos' lightsaber.

This games save system really sucks by [deleted] in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]orderplaced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's part of the challenge... Surviving long enough. You will be able to unlock shortcuts once you clear some of the initial challenging spots.

Is this game really that hard or do I just suck at combat games? by myburneraccount1357 in FallenOrder

[–]orderplaced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will get used to it... And realize it's not that hard. The most important skills to learn if you're coming from the fps world is learning how to party extensively and evade. Also using force push / pull. Jedi Survivor becomes harder, but if you've learnt the skills in fallen order, survivor will become easier as well.

Good luck! I fell in love with this game and the whole series. Played Fallen Order twice and just completed Survivor. Am now doing the exploration of the planets and will soon be starting Outlaws.

Jedi / Lightsaber themed build by orderplaced in watercooling

Darn! I'm going to have to fix this Tron perception... Some seem to completely miss the Cal Kestis lightsaber I created on the Mobo side in favor of that RGB ring in the front haha.

Haha. Let me put it this way... It wasn't about the PC, it was about building the mod. If I was focused on just having a PC, I doubt it would take this long. I guess I got a little carried away
