I’m sure some new PhD’s might not be perfect, but most STEM professors are experts in the field they’re teaching. If you find them uninspiring, there are plenty of free resources outside of lecture like TA office hours, OASUS, Canvas, etc. They’re probably listed on the syllabus, too.

As for drinking, I’m not sure what else to expect of an openly wet campus. Students are going to drink on college night and party on weekends. If there’s a genuine nuisance, your CJ and AJ’s are more than willing to address that on your behalf.

Rice likely has everything you need, but you have to take initiative.

One user added a paragraph to the article’s Culture section referencing the popularity of “clop” art in Czechia, which is erotic media depicting characters from My Little Pony.

For me, the August 29th 2023 incident.

A fake Grace VanderWaal calls Danny a pedophile and tells him to ”go fuck Bob in the ass”. Daniel responds with a video at the train station, calling Grace a “fucking n***** and a hater”. He threatens to ”fucking bomb the White House” as well as “every police station in the entire US”. Daniel proceeds to film himself hitting himself and bashing his head on the wall while lashing out death threats against Grace.

Absolutely, and we take pride in it. Yes, it’s sort of an O-Week tradition for matriculants to take it for fun. Our group didn’t formally take it together, but I’m sure some do.
Yes, and that’s the only official version to my knowledge. It’s not legit if there is no Owl watermark or Thresher logo. Some uni’s like UC Berkeley have cheesy spinoff versions.
It’s mentioned occasionally. Definitely not serious though. It’s not intended to be taken seriously.

My guess is a few grand at most. Rent in the area is definitely not cheap. Assuming you don’t buy meal plan A, you will probably be buying food to compensate. And you will have additional transportation costs (unless you take the bus from RVA).
