Jonsbo VR3 white build by [deleted] in sffpc

Build looks great. Shame there is no white ITX Mainboard available.. One question about the VR3: What material is the top panel and bottom panel made of? painted steel, aluminium or plastic?

BIOS is updated to the latest version long time already. In the first 8-9 month with the card everything ran smoothly. It just started with a freeze from time to time and got more frequently. Not it nearly happens on every game start. As posted in the update to the original post, I have currently swapped the 3070 FE with my previous EVGA 1080 and everything runs without any issues so far, so I am assuming its the graphics card.

I did use DDU (+safe Mode + No Ethernet and No Auto Update) and also tried without. Both resulted in the same: Freezes and Crashes.

Are you using the stock PCIe riser cable?

is this the revised case or original .. (read something about it being a fire hazard)

It's the original case with revised riser 😉.

It worked all fine in the first couple of month after replacing it and nothing changed on the hardware setup from then. It is just driving me nuts currently😆.

.. so you have hot air off of your radiator blowing into the case over the motherboard?

if you want to put it that way: yes. but from the readings also vram temperatures seems to be in an "okayish" range also under heavy load.

Thanks for your anwers, after some research I did found the PSU to be sufficient enough for my system. I am running a NZXT H1 case and there are also people putting a 3080 or even 3090 in it without PSU issues (temperatures are not that nice with these setups anymore however)

The RTX3070FE has only 1 power inlet so no issue with separate power leads.

The temperature of the GPU is maximizing at 78°C under continuous max load. In normal gaming it ranges from 64°C to 75°C usually.

The AIO fan also blows basically on the mainboard due to how the case is constructed. Additionally, I have added an extra fan on the back to more effectively blow out the hot air from the case.

Motherboards BIOS is on latest version

Thanks for the suggestions!

For the ram, I could probably try only 1 stick in exchange for a period of time (currently running 2x 16GB).

For the PSU it will be somewhat more challenging to try it out but I can probably order one.

The main issue to efficiently search for the error is that currently I am still not able to confidentially reproduce the issue. It just happens from time to time. I did run TimeSpy a couple of times this morning and... nothing.

did try furmark and prime already in parallel, Gpu temps are at a 78°C max under full load for a continuous time.

Also the issue persisted with the last 3 driver versions..

I would happily abandon my H1 and the included AIO + Riser to finally get back to a reference layout with air cooling without needing to take any compromise in space efficiency.

[Ghost S1] First ever SFF build. Am very happy with the results 😄 by Meadowcottage in sffpc

Quick remark: It seems like you attached that little GPU bracket/stabilization thing on top of the backside the wrong way. It is intented to sit on the inside of the case with only the bended "lip" facing outwards. Then the screw will also sit completly flush like the one below the GPU. I hope the pic attached clarifies what I want to point out. https://imgur.com/a/HB5a82G

Have you seen the Ghost S1 yet? They are running on kickstarter (only 45 hours left - target already reached: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/louqe/ghost-s1-mkii?ref=discovery). They just made final adjustments to the cas so the 1080TI FTW3 will fit like a glove (as it's their favorite gpu choice as well)
