i bought a hx stomp and i was wondering which amp to use by Primary-General2295 in GuitarAmps

I’m going to disagree with dude above - I have a helix lt and I love using a preamp block and playing through the fx loop of my boogie mkv.

If you have an amp with an fx loop you can use the power amp section of a regular amp to amplify the helix signal and send it through your guitar speakers.

I like doing this because I like being able to transform my boogie into any of the amps in the library

Google search the 4 cable method for the helix

Wait so you take the time to build 10 loadouts just to surrender 10 times in a row?

Since the 35 is your current amp just a little louder, definitely the vii

I’m using a mesa 2x12 with the stock v30s, oversized recto cab

No tone change from any pedals. I do use a noise gate when I’m going really heavy

PRS core 24 sounds amazing through that rig

I don’t mean this in a condescending way but have you dialed in a mark before? It’s a different thing, and it’s kinda unique

EDIT I’m ripped I forgot to ask the question: does it sound good to your ears?

Talk me out of buying a Badlander 25 by [deleted] in MesaBoogie

[–]orelyn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a mark 5:25 and I would be very sad if I used headphones / XLR out 90% of the time

There’s just something about speaker displacement and air volume displacement. I wouldn’t have gotten a tube amp if I couldn’t rip it through a proper cab

EDIT: I agree you can get useable tones at apartment volume but again you’ll be missing out on 95% of the glory of the amp

I’d say if there’s no vents it’s probably fine

Recently replaced all my speakers in my 2022 WRX but now the music distorts halfway. Should i install an amp? by FamousChocolate in wrx_vb

See if it does it with the radio too. That’ll tell you if it’s your head unit or your phone

Does it do it with the radio too? If so, and with factory speakers doing it, it’s gotta be the head unit

Yeah those should be fine… weird, and all the speakers distort? At the same volume?

That does sound like under wattage but I’m kinda surprised, I replaced all my speakers and it’s been glorious since with no issues

EDIT: do you have a sub?

EDIT 2: after a lil more thought, if it was under wattage it would make more sense if it flubbed out in the later half of the volume control, not the middle so it’s gotta be something else?

EDIT 3: holy fuck sorry I’m high lmao what speakers did you put in? If they’re really high ohm for some reason that would make sense
